Check your ESV. It says the same thing. You are copying and pasting again without actually looking at the Scriptures. This is a direct quote from Jesus.

I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

I wasn't aware catlicks don't believe Acts to be canonical. Perhaps you papists don't believe that Saul's Damascus Road experience was real?

The author of Acts is most likely Luke also the author of one of the Gospels. Even if he isn't, the author is taking first hand accounts of people who knew my Lord.

The author of Acts is definitely not 4th century roman catlicks trying to justify their own heresies while attempting to stomp out all other interpretations.

well I am not ,just wanted to know.I did how ever ask a question or two awhile back want to take a stab now ?

How come them cult religions feel the need to add their own words to the bible? Catherliks seem to have a extra book so do them Mormons.The mooslims got the kerrand and hinidos got a book too.
Do they all need to make up there own stuff just to justify the existence of there church

The Good Lord and King James seem to have done a fine job with the KJV1611,I have not been able to read it from cover to cover but I read some every day.It is a complete work and needs no help or revisions .The Bible( KJV 1611) has every answer to very question does it not !

We don't agree with that. The Bible is the full and complete Word of God to His creation. It was written by God using humans and His pen. As soon you accept this friend then we might have a bases for a discussion.

Perhaps you could offer some support for this argument?

Maybe you could try posting the Scriptures you feel back up your claim with a commentary of how it relates to your argument instead of copying and pasting a wall of text from catlicks.com.

But this passage as well does not diminish the possibility that there can be other no commandments of God. Obviously God added to the commandments of the OT when He established the NT, would you agree? For instance, this passage is also found in the Jewish scripture. Were we not adding to God's Word by adding the NT? But we know that the NT is also the commandments of God, so we added it to the scripture, for the purpose of reading aloud at Mass. However, how did we decide what was indeed the Word of God and what was not? How do we know that SCRIPTURE is the ONLY word of God? And how do we know that the NT was ALL that God wanted to add?
