    An idea.

Does anyone here think it is possible that people who were generally respected as saviors or prophets and what have you who lived before Christ, such as Buddha, or Lao-Tze, may have been Saved, finding what Christ called God, but did not verbalize it in the same way as Christ because they did not have access to the Old Testament?

For instance, a quote from Buddha:

"He who experiences the unity of life sees his own Self in all beings, and all beings in his own Self, and looks on everything with an impartial eye."

    Could be rewritten:

"He who experiences the unity of life sees God in all beings, and all beings in God, and looks on everything with an impartial eye."

Does that go against Christ's teachings? In what way?

I am mostly convinced this forum is some sort of Discordian joke, and if it is, erase this heathenspeak and please continue. If not, correct me, Save me, and leave this thread up for all to see my foolish errors.
    Leviticus 20:27
A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood shall be upon them.

I am quite excited for my salvation. Supposing I could not buy a Bible until tomorrow, what could I do to accelerate the process?

The Word of God can be had for free if you just visit your local Independant Baptist Church and ask the Pastor for one. Make sure you ask specifically for a KJV1611 Authorized Version Bible.

Also you can read one online at www.biblegateway.com. And for your assisted reading pleasure, Brother V has got a wonderful thread going HERE called "Bible in a Year."

Your words silence me, oh Nobar!

Will any independent Baptist church do, or is there something I might want to look for...?

I happen to have been using Satan's Tarot recently - I drew the Magician card.

As for financial advice, try Luke 18:25.
