Re: Can you prove that your beliefs are true?

Im am here and not an athiest..just looking for answers
THE Answer is to accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. If you have a personal relationship with Jesus you will no longer be agnostic. You will KNOW that God is Real and he loves you .
    Joshua 24:15
And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

Re: Can you prove that your beliefs are true?

It isn't proof that you seek, it is faith. Either you have it or you don't. rather than looking for worldly 'proofs', pray for inspiration so that you find faith within yourself and that you believe. Read your KJV1611 scriptures and if the lord looks favorably on you you may receive inspiration.

We will all pray for you.
Acts 3:24-25 "The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else."

Where did you get the idea that I was an atheist?

If you had read the first post, you would realize that that is not the case.

I have noticed that most people are completely convinced that they are right, and that their beliefs are true, but I have yet to meet anyone that can actually prove it.

Christians often say to act on faith, but that is by definition saying that they don't know with certainty that they are right. Faith implies that there isn't sufficient evidence to back your belief up, but you believe it anyway.

Everyone acts on faith everyday, just by believing in anything beyond their own existence. But what you seem to want is beyond faith, you seem to want people to believe the opposite of what the evidence they find tells them.

Not only that, but I don't have a problem with people believing in such ridiculous things. You can believe in the flying spaghetti monster as far as I am concerned, just as long as you don't start engaging in acts of piracy.
Actions are more important than beliefs, in my opinion.

We couldn't care less about your unsaved opinions, friend. We care about God's opinions, and He says that our good works "are as filthy rags" in His loving eyes. I suppose you're another one of these false Christians who imagine that Jesus is some kind of limp-wristed hippie who just expects everyone to "be nice" and "do their best" and then everyone gets into Heaven, huh?

Well you couldn't be more wrong.

I am not a false Christian, I am not Christian at all. The only thing that I can conclusively prove is that I am here. I am pretty well convinced that the rest of you, and the world we live on exists as well. Beyond that, there isn't much, so while you worry about getting into heaven, I will continue to do the best I can with what I know I have.

Well enjoy hell then. The Bible tells us that we will be able to hear your screams and watch you being tortured as we sit up in Heaven with Jesus and laugh.

"He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision." Psalm 2:4

Luke 16:20 "And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,
21And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
                      22And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
23And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
24And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
25But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. 26And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence."

Enjoy your time in existence as well then, however short or long that may be.

I should add, that I think you misinterpreted one of my earlier comments, about being fooled into believing nonsense, I was not saying that Christianity is nonsense, I was using future tense, indicating that someone who believes things so easily is at risk for falling for other things, that aren't so beneficial.

It is obvious from all your posts that you have never read the Bible. Then you come here and expect us to bend over backwards to explain the Book of God to you because you are too lazy to read it first yourself? We get a lot of this and we are are sick of it. Imagine if you will, a little child. This child will not lift a pinky. All this whinny baby does is incesstiantly ask "Why", ignoring or forgetting that last time he asked and it was explained.

Why do these idiots come on a CHRISTAN website, refuse the read the FAQs and wonder why we could care less about them. They simply fail to realize........ wait for it........ they have demonstrated they could care less about us and like little babies, want to be the center of the universe and have us answer a question when we know them from, well, Adam.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
