And I eat quite healthy - thank you for your concern. Mostly organically grown vegetables from my garden, seasoned with organically grown herbs (also from my garden), and free range baby about twice a week.
AH HA! The truth comes out!

When they say "free range meat" they really mean "free range baby"!

Listen up, BABs! The local playground is NOT the butcher shop!

      Playground =/= Butcher Shop

      GET IT?

A butterfly totem represents metamorphosis, change, and freedom.

Actually it means organic beef, free range chickens, and their eggs. And I get them from the cooler at Whole Foods.

You think eggs come from chickens and the cooler at Whole Foods?

There are actually people who try to act like vampires? I would not want to meet one of them down a dark alley

Do they drink blood as well? I don't mind if they want to dress up in the costume (I dressed as a vampire last Halloween), but drinking blood seems overboard.

The fact that I bought the cape before I decided what I even wanted to go as...and the awesome Morticia Adams dress from Value Village

I can assure you, I do not dress like that everyday though

And is it queer to see a woman in a black dress? I think not.

Actually, the vampire lifestylers are more interested in the aesthetic, literary and philosophical side of vampires. There's also most likely give their significant other the occasional loving bite on the neck. ^^

Now for my sinful posting of attractive (fictional) undead men and women :p :

                      That's good

One of my friends used to write some stories about vampires. I never read them, but she's a good writer (we were in Writing 12 class together last year, one of the few grade 11s), so they were probably really good.

The WHAT? You mean the purely fictionous crap surrounding them?
They want to be vampires because they want to drink blood and kill children, and that's all there is to it.

These people sleep in coffins, drink blood, kidnap children, and cut themselves and others with sharp objects to gorge on blood!
And you say they are normal and only interested in a "philosophical" side of things?
                        Get real, heathen.

These people are almost as evil as homersexuals, so don't even dare to try to defend them or their lifestyles, calling them "normal".

What I mean is that they mostly enjoy dressing like a vampire (Victorian clothing, medieval clothing .etc) and reading books, both fiction and non-fiction, about vampires. Some even enjoy role-playing. The blood drinking and killing you seem to be obsessed with is a very rare occurence in the lifestyle. Though some may have a 'blood fetish' and share blood with their lover during a sexual act. Maybe only 1 or 2 in the whole 'subculture' have the sick mind you associate with all of them.

How would they know what vampires dress like, have they ever met a real one?
And name a single "non-fictionous" book about vampires you know about..

No, all of them have it. Having a sick mind is the very essence of their "subculture". (sub as in underground, as vampires hate sunlight.)
But most of them simply hide this fact from you. Appropriately enough, they even have a quite-true name for this lie: "Masquerade".
These freaks are playing you for a stupid fool, and you fall for it.

I happen to know two vampire lifestylers (yes, they do come out occasionally in daytime) and they are perfectly lovely people, always with something interesting to say. My parents have even met them, they think they're very nice if a little odd (then again, most of my friends are rather eccentric)

Also, there's plenty of non-fiction vampire books:

                                http://www.amazon.com/Vampire-Nation...6446068&sr=8-2

                                http://www.amazon.com/Vampire-Encycl...6446167&sr=1-2

And here's one you might (or might not) like :
