Akano Nzerem, 54, of South San Francisco, is charged with felony counts of domestic violence, mayhem, false imprisonment, battery and making criminal threats.
Nzerem told police he was provoked by his wife attacking him first and calling him a short man, according to the district attorney's office.
Police said Nzerem shoved aside his 16-year-old daughter when she tried to intervene in the argument. He then allegedly grabbed his wife in a bear hug and bit off her lip.

Doesn't sound like a vamp wannabe to me - just a common bully. Making fun of his height (or perhaps his length) wasn't very nice of his wife, but to bite off her lip and knock his daughter to the floor when she tried to stop him was over the top.
Doesn't sound like it was a very happy marriage in general.

You forget, this guy was a midget. He wasn't even able to bite his wife's upper lip off, just her lower one, for crying out loud. The only way he'd have been able to kick her teeth in would be if she laid down to help him. And I bet the unco-operative harridan wouldn't even be prepared to do that!
