    Big Bang? Big lie.

Though I may be an atheist, I've got to give Landover Baptist Church credit for something. One of the members here has a quote:
"One day, there was nothing. Then that nothing exploded, and expanded to form something. Right. "

I never thought of t that way before. How could nothing make something? Honestly. But, ask a scientist, and they're going to pull out some scientific mumbo-jumbo. But the basis remains. Nothing can't form something. Only something can form something!

That kind of thinking will just screw up your mind.

I much prefer the simple pleasure of leafing through Genesis in the KJV1611.

Pierce, after all the BS you have thrown out, you finally said something that had thought behind it. There is hope for you after all. Now, go read your Bible, particularly Genesis.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Hey, I always wondered why everyone thought the big bang was a little iffy. So, I looked into it...not only here, but at my college. Even the science prof said that the "nothing into something" was the weak point of that theory.

The big bang theory says that the state of the universe before the big bang was a singularity. Not that there was nothing. Just to correct what was posted in the first post.

I don't know who you think you are, friend, but remember: we here at Landover have some of the best minds on the planet working in our labs every day. Let me clear up some of the scientific thoughts that are confusing you! Take a breath, this might be hard for you!

                1. It's a theory: Remember when you were a kid and thought there might be monsters in your bedroom (but it really turned out to be Satan?). That was a theory. Anyone can have a theory of anything. This is the first big clue that something is awry.

                2. These scientists are in it to make money: When liberal officials get in, they pass money around for so-called "scientific advancement". We all know that, as a capitalist society the only place that true knowledge and advancement can come from is business, not government. These self-called "scientists" pat each other on the back after they type up another 60 page bit of nonsense. Have you ever even LOOKED at a scientific paper? No normal person could understand it! They just jumble up some words to confuse the masses and stumble to the bank to cash another $200,000 paycheck. As a True Christian(tm) scientist, I only work for true capitalistic companies, like Chevron and Exxon/Mobil, as well as the Institute for Creation Research and, of course, the world-class Creation Science thinktank here at Landover. That's how you know my research is True and unbiased! My papers are easy enough for laymen to understand.

There are an infinite number of reasons here, but I trust you can use the Internets to do further research

Hope that was "low level" enough for you!

Well, lets not get to hasty. I said i dont believe the Big Bang theory, but I still have doubts about the Bible, too.
Im just looking for proof to prove or disprove either.

I saw on the news a week ago: it seems that they've changed their minds that humans did not come from monkeys, they came from a common ancestor. Basically this "unknown" animal evolved down 2 paths, humans and monkeys. All I can wonder is, how scientists are able to change their theory's so quickly. I'm guessing that they read the internet, someone makes a new theory and everyone goes "hey that must be true! Lets change all the theories we have and base it on the new find which has less basis than the previous one!"

Exactly, Pierce! Now you're using your brain. If we could only get you to accept the simplest explanation, the Baby Jesus would be so happy!

Pierce, I have my eye on you, but in the good way this time!

Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

That really depends on how you interpret nothing and something. If by nothing you mean matter in a four dimensional world (as in, the 3 you percieve + time), then yes, you are correct. If, however, supersymmetry were accurate, then nothing, that is, a dearth of matter could in fact become something when strings (or in more consistent and generall better theories, branes) interacted with each other to produce something, causing the fundamental forces and matter to spill out into 4-D space as a result of the oscillation of these toroids at certain frequencies.

The only problem is that supersymmetry needs further research and humanity lacks the means of testing it even in CERN or any other facility we posses.
The world itself is the will to power - and nothing else! And you yourself are the will to power - and nothing else!
