If religion is based on personal belief and assumption, how can we be sure whose belief is correct? It seems that people get the same "touched by god" feeling from all sorts of paths, so how can we know?

Christianity is based on the word of God, rather than personal belief and assumption. God provided the Bible. It contains His Word. It says so. It is there for all humanity to follow . . . and Christianity has the largest number of followers worldwide, at 2.1 - 2.2 billion. God could easily correct the Bible if it was wrong ("mistranslated" or "corrupted" or "made up"). He has not. If God were "Allah" or "Zoroaster" or "FSM", He could change the Bible so everybody would know it was wrong. Otherwise, He would be deliberately leading billions into eternal torment.
The Bible says what it says.
Therefore, if there is a God, the Bible MUST say what God wants it to say and must be true as written.Bible boring? Nonsense!
