You touch upon the issue of a comparison between the koran and the bible. That issue, put simply,(somewhat), is that the old testament and the Koran preach almost the exact message. The view on wives, foreigners/oppressors, and the "one true god" are so close it would be deduced one came from the other, if they were different periods appart,(though the view on women is a bit better in the koran). The difference nowadays is that, unlike the koran, which has never been changed from it's very first, original version, there is now a new testament to the bible and many, many sub-devisions that have split off in more modern times. It is almost as if the muslim people are still in biblical times.

And what got to me many times is how resentful many "Christians" and "Americans" have reacted to this religion and culture that is so close to their own genesis. Oich, your post hurts my eyes, I'm going to break off there, and go to a different thread.
