It has nothing to do with us. We can lead you (you're a horse in this analogy) to water but we can't make you drink.
The ultimate decision you make to give your life up to Him has to be honest and earnest. Your thirst has to be real. It is then up to Him to determine whether to offer you the GIFT. When he does, you WILL know.
The first step however is to lose your cynicism and read The Bible and read all of it cover to cover. Only then will you discover The Truth in all its GLORY!!
