My friend from my missionary days in California the hellbound atheist dirtbag Joesph Riverman writes me.

Dear Bobby-Joe Tabor,

How is it going in the beating and shooting your neighbors biz? I am sorry to hear the doctor has you scheduled for bypass surgery (He's talking nonsense, I am as healthy has a 350lb horse-Bobby Joe) and those two deaths from heart attacks in your security guard job.

What brings me to e-mail you today is a story from Fresno. A poor little girl was kidnapped and raped by some gangbanger and then rescued by a construction worker. The Fresno police of chief says it is a "miracle of God". Now could you explain how it's a miracle of God this little girl was rescued?

While I am surprised to hear this described as a miracle, the girl, gang banger and construction worker are all Mexicans and you tell me God doesn't even know were Mexico is, how is this a miracle? While quite fortunate this poor girl was rescued from a man who was abusing her and would have probably murdered her wouldn't God have prevent this little girl from being hurt in the first place?

It's almost like God didn't exist,...

Hm, so a dirty whore seduces an innocent gangbanger and now that poor seduced fellow gets the blame? That girl will burn in Hell for sure for lying about this. As will the construction worker who will go to Hell for breaking up a couple that should have get married!

Well granted Craky, but obviously there is a miracle here? Remember Joesph here is an atheist in California. He doesn't have the proper moral compass and needs to be walked to Jesus with baby steps.

I can feel someBody at work there, since - if he had raped her - then (since surely she would be regarded as betrothed to the first rapist, pending payment to the father and marriage) wouldn't she have had to be killed?
Perhaps someone could advise..

Well Sister, please keep in mind this an UN-American place we are talking about: California. As The Bible says in Roman's "void were prohibited by law" California isn't Iowa and rape is regarded as assault there. Also worth pointing out kidnapping is clearly a capital crime since it is theft from the little girl's father.

We need to work on this, the police chief is white so we can be sure he is a Christian so if he says Jesus was at work here saving that girl, He must have been.

Deuteronomy 22

After the initial rape the girl would have to marry the man, because from what I can tell she was single. In between the rape and the happy day then, she would be betrothed.
Earlier in the day I had read Deuteronomy 22:23f which covered what happens to married women and betrothed damsels in these circumstances. The girl was not married, but after the first rape surely she would be betrothed (to the first rapist)? If she was subsequently raped by the other gentleman, then the penalty for bethrothed damsels would apply.

23 If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her;
24a Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die

I think Felicity is right about the miracle, but don't know the details of Californian law so need one of the gentlemen to confirm that, of course.

However, who says she was hurt? This little harlot seduced a Mexican gangbanger. Now, it's possible he had a very large . . . well, you know, and that might have surprised and hurt her, but otherwise . . .

Edit: I just read the article; she was 8, not 12. So it's entirely likely that he DID hurt her. Maybe God wants her to be wed early!
