My response to the mental health article, do you reckon it is possibly because so many people (due to their religion or otherwise) are so intollerant of them? They make them feel like they are preverted freaks, I'm not surprised that some have commited suicide (especially several decades ago)

They are perverted freaks, by denying our ability to treat them you are condemning them to their misery and Hell. As for us being intollerant of them, that could be said of any sinner. Should we be tolerant of adulterers? What about child rapists? Dog rapists? Where does the line of tolerance stop? If we don't leave it up to God, who decides where the line is, YOU? What makes you the expert on human morality?

No one at Landover Baptist ever gets sick, because we don't sin and God loves us. There may be some other "Baptists" somewhere who do sin, and therefore God smites them with the flu every winter. But not us.

I think it's shocking how you compare homosexuality to child/dog rapists. God has a pretty warped view of morality, if you whip out the ol' bible and look up some old testament teachings you'll see that he promotes slavery, beating slaves (but not so they die), stoning aldulterers and badly behaved children and many more petty crimes. Morality is not sourced from god, it is innate. You see acts of morality in the animal kingdom too, but they don't have a god telling them what to do.

Homosexuality and bestiality are the same in God's eyes.

The Bible mentions bestiality in at least four places. Exodus 22:19; Leviticus 18:23; Leviticus 20:15-16 (which makes clear that if a man has sexual relations with an animal, he must be put to death, and you must kill the animal. If a woman approaches an animal to have sexual relations with it, kill both the woman and the animal); and Deuteronomy 27:21. The passages on homosexuality are easy to find and the result is the same: death to both participants. The comparison is easy.

As for rape, this is a different animal and the woman is put to death only if the child does not struggle, which shows she wanted it all along. Deuteronomy 22:23-24. I don't see how some fornicating whore is "moral" of whatever age, and even you -- with your limited capacities -- can see that, right? Is a it moral for a 10-year-old to want, and get, smoking hot sex from an adult? Do you not agree that this is immoral? Surely do see my point.

Morality is not innate; man is created by God and man is a born sinner. Psalms 51:5: "Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me." It's not like you describe. You don't think adultery is moral do you? Neither does God. The "badly behaved children" you describe are not just naughty; they are giving the finger to God's commandments in each case you describe. Are you not punished when you commit a crime? Can you steal a car and it's OK? Don't act all shocked when there is a rule and a prescribed punishment when you break it and then exactly what was supposed to happen, happens. This is just law and order, plain and simple.

Animals certainly are controlled by God. Read Psalm 104.4 See also I Kings 17, 4-6: And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there. So he went and did according unto the word of the LORD: for he went and dwelt by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan. And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook.
