How many of you have heard of the fantasy series called Gor?
It's the fantasy series written in the '80s. I have heard it denounced as a bunch of kinky soft porn but reading the bit of fan fiction I found below it sounds kind of right and proper in a Christian (as in Baptist Republican way).
I slip and slide down the slope of the cesspit. This war was important, this war was about Honor. This war was about being a Gorian male! Yes, my reader, you may think; why do men, manly Honorable men, struggle and fight for the communal cesspit between two cities. What is in the place were the raw sewage of two cities is dumped to rot in the sun? That answer reader is Honor.
We are not talking the weak shallow honor of Earth, twisted and masticated by technology and false philosophy, but the viral and true Honor of the Gorian male. Gorian men are the products of countless generations of living a proper, natural, manly life, feel of the weakening influences of the false philosophy of Earth thanks to the technology of the Priest Kings. Therefor it is right and proper for a Gorian male to fight for. and indeed in. his cities cesspit.
Wading threw the sludge of cast of bosk bones, an animal whom we Gorian eat, and rotten vegetables I faced my manly opponent. He was a true proper Gorian man. Manly in dress with his black leather pants, loin covering, boots and bear chest. There was nothing effeminate or weak of this manly Gorian male.
"We meet" He said
"We have meet" I reply
"It is right and proper we fight as manly men in this cesspit, since we are free of any effeminate influences." He announced.
"You right, it is proper we meet and fight in the cesspit, as the non-effeminate men we are." I agreed.
Our feet splashing threw the filth we two virile, Gorian males faced each other and raised our Gorian swords. These were not the flimsy, girlish swords of earth, but manly Gorian swords forged by manly male blacksmiths free of false philosophies and who subscribed to proper modalities. Each sword weights fifteen pounds each so only the truest and manliest of men could dare wield such a weapon. And me and my opponent are indeed manly and true men.
With a manly, Gorian grunt, my opponent swings. The sword makes a slow arch threw the air. It's manly weight seeking to cleave my masculine head. Seeing the danger with my keen manly sense, unclouded by the influence of false philosophy that makes men week I raise my own sword With my own manly grunt, since I am also a Gorian male, and block my opponent's manly blow. Now seeing my chance I heave my sword up and send its' own slow but manly arch to hack at my manly opponent's manly head.
With cunning only a Gorian male, a male bread of countless generations of manliness, my opponent steps away from the arch of my manly blow. Missing his viral, manly body throws me off balance due to the manly weight of my sword. I stumble, in a properly manly way of a Gorian male, and fall into the mud of the cesspit. Leaving my self off helpless against my manly, Gorian male opponent.
"You are defeated" my opponent observes
"I am defeated" I reply
Now Gor is a stern world, free of the emasculating influences of false earth philosophies that leaves men weak and effeminate. Earth men would never fight in their cities cesspit if they could help it. That shows you what kind of girlish cowards they are. Only a true man, a man given to proper, manly Honor would fight for his towns cesspit. However combat in Gor featured certain stern modalities. Modalities only a true manly man would follow, and me and my opponent were indeed manly true men not given to effeminacy.
My manly opponent straddled my head and in the ancient and proper Gorian act of victory undid his loin covering exposing his not effeminate manly body.
"As you see, I am to put you to manly use that is proper for a victor in a fight, " my opponent announced "and act that is proper and masculine, free of any effeminacy from false philosophy that weakens men."
"Indeed you are about to put me to a manly use. and this is right, proper and above all manly for the both of us." I reply
,..So what do you all think?
