    Satan to appear at BurningMan this year!

    The unholy presence of the Devil has been a constant presence at the BurningMan spectacle, ever since he gave some crooked 'Friscans the idea to have a sinful bacchanalia on the beach and burn Christ in effegy.

    Their 'party' has been growing every year, even though it has been banished to the wasteland of the desert in Nevada. Apparently it's the least hospitible place on earth to living organisms; none live there, and the birds don't even fly over.

    Here's how they show their love for Jesus: by burning him:



    From what I have heard, The Devil himself is going to rise out of the burning Christ this year. The burners have been praying for it to happen every year, and I think it's likely to happen eventually, if they worship hard enough.

    That looks an awful lot like the tower of babel to me. And we all know what happened with that debacle: It ticked the Lord off royally!

    I guess I'd be in favor of it if they'd strap a few demoncrats to it before striking the match.

      Nobar, you have outdone yourself this time. There is not the slightest bit of Devilry at Burning Man. It is a week long, clothing-optional experiment in self-reliance, self-expression, civic responsibility, art, community, and Earth-friendly living.

      I go every year, and I'm happy to report to you that I have not once run into anbody who professed to worship or Satan. About the only other group I havent seen in any numbers at a Burning Man are Evangelicals, which makes me wonder why the very people who don't attend, and therefore don't really know what's going on, are so willing to raise their voices to condemn the whole project.

      Perhaps next year you might consider setting up a Landover Baptist theme camp. Now that would be a real test of the Burning Man principle of acceptance, and, who knows, you might save a "lost soul" or two. Clothing optional, of course.

        This sort of thing just disgusts me with the futility of the misguided minds that think it up: either the devil himself will appear and fry the lot or he won't, which means, unless the Lord God of Hosts appears, the satanists will have wasted their time.

        They fare a lot better getting themselves over to Landover, reading, reading and reading again the KJV and having some chance of having their souls saved.

        I'd be surprised if they didn't drag innocent children to this abominable spectacle.

        What vile and perverted minds this world holds!

        As you can be sure, the Lord has spoken in His Mercy and Compassion on this subject several times: I give you a couple of verses, which are the very least these idolaters can expect:

        Le:26:1: Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the LORD your God.
        Le:26:30: And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you.

            Well, that's going to cure the world of all it's ills isn't it? I can see mankind coming to the realisation that his ways have been at fault and, as our Saviour suggested, everyone will turn the other cheek and peace will descend across the face of the earth.

            Lord be praised! Our Troubles are over and all the World will become True Christians.

            What utter and complete thoughtless rubbish! There is one and only one path to Salvation and it does not involve lunatics running around naked.

            I dare say if it had been a burning cross and the folks were clothed in white robes, your attitude would have been quite different! Hypocrite!

            If the Lord didn't see fit to give you a complete brain, at least have the grace not to insult us with your airy-fairy rubbish!

                What are you like? Strikes me you need a healthy dose of reality, but having borne your posts with Christ-like patience (although not nearly as well as He), I think that logic, truth and wisdom washes off your hide without any of it sinking in.

                God gave us "a start" 6000 years ago, Christ gave us "a start" 2000 years ago. Now some faggots dancing naked on a beach in front of a burning idol is going to give us another one?

                Post back in a year and tell me what the effect has been.

                          Weren't the Bakkers great? Tammy Faye was an inspiration to women everywhere. She was instrumental in developing the biggest ever Jesus amusement park. (That was before South Carolina began the international recruitment of homosexuals.)

                          It was really sad when she came down with that awful rectal disease.
