Please make a thread of your own in the "Introductions" section of the forum, so that we can properly greet you. Tell us about yourself, your church, and how you came to find Jesus.

First of all, I'm highly positive that God would not appreciate you trashing and name-calling one of his beings.
Secondly, it's extremely insulting that you think people cut because it's "cool" or they do it for "attention". These are very serious situations and people do it because they feel like they deserve it, or because the physical pain of cutting can take their minds off of the emotional pain their feeling. People don't commit suicide to be "cool". They do it because people make them feel like they're worthless.
Aren't we supposed to treat each other like brothers and sisters? This is not what you're doing.
Gerard and his band have not "admitted" to anything. It's lyrics to a song and with most punk rock or alternative music, there's almost always a deeper meaning.
I would like to set the record straight. I am not emo. I am depressed and suicidal. I am not a satanist. I listen to punk rock, alternative, and rock music. I am suicidal not because of the music I listen to (in fact, I haven't committed suicide because of the music I listen to). I am suicidal because people make me feel worthless in this world. They taunt me and make fun of me (much like you are doing to Gerard Way right now, who could probably care less, though) and make me dislike myself. I do not make fun of people who sing religious music, so please, do not make fun of someone who sings punk rock.
A lot of people look up to Gerard because he hasn't committed suicide. Because he's past that and is happy now. He is one of the most sweetest people I know. You should take a quick look at his tweets on Twitter. He literally greets all of his followers a "good morning" or a "good evening" or a "good afternoon" every day.
I mean, goodness, if you want to insult someone "emo", insult the "emo king" Pete Wentz. He's accidentally had his nudes released to the fandom of Fall Out Boy. But even as you insult Pete Wentz, (bassist for Fall Out Boy), please keep in mind that the vocalist for Fall Out Boy, Patrick Stump, is one of the most sweetest people in the entire world. He doesn't cuss. He doesn't insult people. He's friendly to everyone even if they insult him. And Patrick is Pete's best friend.
I'd also like to mention that Gerard isn't a vampire. By goodness, he doesn't drink blood. It's a picture. It's a video. We're not stupid. Which brings me to you thinking us fans will do what he tells us. No. We know right from wrong. We have minds of our own, which aren't being controlled by anyone but ourselves. He's not telling us to literally go drink blood or throw TV's out hotel windows. And even if he was, we're not stupid enough to do it.
None of us are perfect. We all sin. I haven't yet forgiven myself for the sins I've made, so how can I ask God to forgive me?
There is so much more wrong with this post, but I'll stop here and save you all the embarrassment.

Hello, and welcome to our friendly forums! If you were familiar with God's own Word, you would know what God appreciates. You wouldn't have to guess (and you wouldn't be wrong). It's not hard to do. Find a Holy Bible (King James Version is best), and start reading at the beginning!

Interesting point of view, friend, but we are Bible believing Christians and therefore must judge others as God instructs us to in His word.

Please reconsider a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. He will still forgive you if you repent, get baptized, and believe in His temporary sacrifice.

It is exciting to watch the decline of civilization that Revelation teaches us is a precursor to Christ's return. My name is Grace (just thought it would be nice to say, so maybe I won't feel so much like a stranger) and I stumbled on this thread by accident earlier last night via a google search of something or another, not sure what. I found myself reading it almost all the way through, and after that, felt like it would be interesting for me to briefly make an account here so that I could join the discussion a little bit. I'm fairly young still and have not yet discovered all there is to know about God and religion, so I hope that doesn't make it hard for me to say what I want to say here.

My username on the forum is love & curiosity because honestly, that is all I have in my heart when I'm joining in this discussion. I am open-minded and am willing to be taught things and be respectful of your beliefs, just so long as you are at least somewhat respectful of mine. I understand that by saying things to people sometimes you are only trying to do what you believe to be right for them and helping, and I think that should not go ignored even though some people just don't appreciate.

That being said, I am a fan of Gerard Way and he's what I would consider to be a role model, from my perspective as someone who knows a lot about his music and art and life views.

I sincerely hope that this will not ruin the tolerant message I have for the rest of this post.

But the point here is, that I'm hoping to maybe defend my viewpoint a little but at the same time I would like to extend my knowledge of the Christian beliefs that you all hold. So any questions I ask aren't meant to be offensive at all, I just would like to know what you take to be fact and if I am wrong on things, I am sure you can correct me.

I don't consider myself a bad person at heart, though I haven't really been 'saved'. So I am open to hear what you have to say that is reasonable.

Aside from the name calling and impulse judgements, what do y'all really think makes Gerard such a terrible person? I hope you have reasons other than what were stated in the OP, because I just think people can be taken much more seriously if they explain their point of view rationally. You don't always have to say things with such hate! From what I see, you would like all the non-believers who come onto this forum to be saved. So that means you must be good people, for wanting that for someone you disagree with and maybe think is evil. So I know you can say things the way you mean them and they way that is easy to understand, without slander and misunderstandings.

I'm actually looking forward to hearing what you have to say, and hopefully not being completely shot down in my opinion. Ultimately, I can't change your beliefs on who is and isn't a good person, but maybe I can give you a different view (even if you don't agree) and you can give me one (even if I don't agree).
