Yes I do realize that this forum has been going on for 2 years, but I would like to give my input. I can assure you that My Chemical Romance wasn't a Satanist band. None of the members are. None of them have a religion, or at least none have confirmed on one. Oh and on the topic of Gerard being a homosexual, he is not. He is married to Lindsey Ann Way (Aka Lyn-Z). They have a beautiful little girl named Bandit. And yes during the touring days of MCR Gerard did have a tendency to kiss other men, mostly Frank Iero. And just because someone kisses someone of the same sex doesn't make them a homosexual. Gerard and Frank usually kissed onstage because they found it humorous. And cross-dressing was also mentioned, I personally don't think cross dressing is wrong. I understand that a guy wearing a skirt and crop top may be a bit strange. But I'm talking in terms of Men wearing Women's T-Shirts and Jeans. There shouldn't be anything wrong with that. There essentially the same, except for form differences. And for the matter of Gerard's drug use and alcoholism. It was in 2004, as someone earlier said him and his brother grew depressed after there Grandmother passed away. They were both very close to her. Gerard started taking intoxicants as a form a coping (it was obviously a bad choice). This only made his depression worse and he became suicidal. Someone earlier in the tread said that they weren't anti-suicide because Gerard was suicidal. I'm am in no way trying to be rude but, that doesn't make very much sense to me personally. The band had strong messages about continuing life, and not being afraid of the world (yes some other lyrics were dark) but in the end of the album (which was usually a story) it was about staying strong. One more little tiny detail: My Chemical Romance broke up. They don't make music anymore. Gerard has a solo career. And that's that.

he is a Christian who was raised in a strict catholic home and believes "my religion is happiness"~ gerard way . he also said in a interview that when people spoke to him on the dead mike he would answer aloud and liked the fact that it sounded as though he was speaking to GOD.My Chemical Romance's Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge album contained a lyric booklet that had a Jesus Christ cross on it. Another example was that I saw pictures of Gerard Way with Catholic written in bold and capital letters on his neck. He also performed in his concert wearing a priest neck collar!

gerard does not encourage his fans to drink blood or to kill themselves it is merely a song. in dead it sounds like the patient it now dead, and someone is asking, have you heard you're dead? do you know you're dead? is this fair that you died? and how it might feel to be informed that you're not dying, but that you're actually dead. It's about how life isn't funny, you shouldn't take it for granted, and for all those people who do take it for granted, how can they just sit there and laugh life away when this character is dead, and he had no choice. There are thousands of others out there dying who are asking/thinking the same thing. in blood this song could be about how obsessed fans can be: they want so much out of their idols and MCR might feel that even though they do all they can, it's never enough. "Give them blood, blood, gallons of the stuff, give them all that they can drink and it will never be enough" - as if they are giving their very souls in their work, pouring out every ounce of them into what they do and how some people can still want more.
and not all emos are homosexual that is just a prejudice.

I KNEW this! Alert! Catholics! Young lady, you should really get an education and find out that catholics have NOTHING to do with Christianity. In fact, they are below atheists on the scale to Salvation! They must first unlearn their idolatry, Mary worship and saints before they can start all over again from a tabula rasa. Lol is it bad that I'm laughing at how wrong this is? Gerard doesn't support suicide, and he isn't the drug alcoholic you're making him. Gerard almost commit suicide in 2004 due to alcoholic depression. He didn't. His manager talked him out of it. His manager said that he was completely subset within 17 days. And the song that has the lyrics about The Black Parade, you're kind of wrong. That song is about what Gerard believes happens when you die. He thinks it comes to you in a form of memories. For the young man the album is based upon, his memory is that of when his father took him to see a marching band. The entire album is based off that young man dying of cancer in which the lyrics from the song Dead! Come to play. It's about wishing you were dead because of how painful it is. It's not about suicide. Danger Days, the album doesn't have anything to do with suicide either. Danger Days is an album about a comic book Gerard wrote called The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys! It's about a futuristic group of people fighting against evil. There's not a lot of stubs about suicide. The darkest is called Cemetery Drive and that's not really about him being suicidal. It's more about a girlfriend he had that commit suicide and how it really damaged him.

Gerard does not promote suicide, yes he was suicidal, during 2003-2006, also during that time he was an alcoholic, but in the present he is very happy and sober. your interpretation of him is very off, probably because you have never actually read anything about him, you just judge the book by the cover and go on. I am saved and only 13, but even I know this is wrong! you may say your saved but so far, im not convinced.
