  • Re: What can you do if your daughter refuses to marry her rapist?

i dont know if it was her fault or not, but no man has the right to rape anyone. and if she marries her or not is her choice. and you should be just as pissed at the rapist as your daughter is. either way abortion is still wrong

Show me where it says that in the Bible. You can't, of course, because the Bible says no such thing.

Of course it was her fault!

          Where was her chaperone?

          Why was she unescorted?

Why was she not wearing her chastity belt?

She made all these choices, practically screeching out her need for a man to mount her as if she were an alley cat in heat! She got what she wanted, now she must marry the man so his baby is not a condemned bastard!

                    Romans 13

13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
                    13:2
Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
                    13:3
For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
                    13:4
For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
                    13:5
Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.
                    13:6
For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.
                    13:7
Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.

But that's not what the Bible says about rape. This is.

If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her; Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city.- Deuteronomy 22:23-24

If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found; Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days. - Deuteronomy 22:28-29

And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive? ... Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves. -- Numbers 31:15-18

If I were to call you joos, that's the word I would have used. I simply stated a visual similarity. For example: Judging a rapist as being the victim, without full knowledge of those involved and the surrounding circumstances would be a similar level judgment as those who condemn others without "seeking facts" before placing judgment. That's not just morally wrong, but against what the bible teaches.

Although you focus a lot on who's not going to be saved, focus needs to be balanced with other vital passages of the bible. Such as Luke:6:37: Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven.

Mark:12:31: And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

Even the "unsaved", as your church states are loved by God. Therefore if you hate, judge and condemn, you too become the unsaved.

You need to go back to college and finish that first year of Theology. The Bible is in CONTEXT. Every word does not apply to every situation. Love thy neighbor is an excellent example. My 'neighbors' are members of my community, not the goth hippie commune down the road. I don't have to love them, and if they come forth with 'a familiar spirit', meaning if they are shuckin' and jivin' to get through the gates of my community, I should kill them instantly. You are supposed to take care of your friends, family and community. Those are to whom the ten Commandments refer. Everyone else, we'll see.

Feel free to post the scripture that says God loves everyone. I for one am sick and tired of false Christians and God-mockers waltzing in here making claims about God without providing any proof.

                          Deuteronomy 13:6-10
If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers; Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth; Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him: But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people. And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die.

                          2 Chronicles 15:13
Whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.
Show me where the Bible says I should love a sodomite or a witch, and I'll take one out for lunch.
                          Who Will Jesus Damn?

Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:

I do not intend to insult anyone when I say this, but shouldn't some of you people be more forgiving? Doesn't God forgive? I agree that the man should be forgiven, but surely that is only if he repents? Shouldn't the girl be forgiven and shown mercy? As far as I know she has not committed sin. If I am wrong about this I apologise, but I do feel that she should be shown mercy.

Here's a litle story about the Lord and 'forgiveness."

                                It's from Numbers 16:

Moses and Korah had an arguement because Korah doubted Moses. God wasn't very forgiving. He never is. You do what he says how he says to do it!

16:20 And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying
16:21 Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment. 16:22 And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and wilt thou be wroth with all the congregation?

16:27 So they gat up from the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, on every side: and Dathan and Abiram came out, and stood in the door of their tents, and their wives, and their sons, and their little children. 16:28 And Moses said, Hereby ye shall know that the LORD hath sent me to do all these works; for I have not done them of mine own mind. 16:29 If these men die the common death of all men, or if they be visited after the visitation of all men; then the LORD hath not sent me. 16:30 But if the LORD make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then ye shall understand that these men have provoked the LORD. 16:31 And it came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground clave asunder that was under them: 16:32 And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods. 16:33 They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation. 16:34 And all Israel that were round about them fled at the cry of them: for they said, Lest the earth swallow us up also. 16:35 And there came out a fire from the LORD, and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that offered incense. 16:36 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 16:37 Speak unto Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, that he take up the censers out of the burning, and scatter thou the fire yonder; for they are hallowed. 16:38 The censers of these sinners against their own souls, let them make them broad plates for a covering of the altar: for they offered them before the LORD, therefore they are hallowed: and they shall be a sign unto the children of Israel. 16:39 And Eleazar the priest took the brasen censers, wherewith they that were burnt had offered; and they were made broad plates for a covering of the altar: 16:40 To be a memorial unto the children of Israel, that no stranger, which is not of the seed of Aaron, come near to offer incense before the LORD; that he be not as Korah, and as his company: as the LORD said to him by the hand of Moses. 16:41 But on the morrow all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron, saying, Ye have killed the people of the LORD.
16:42 And it came to pass, when the congregation was gathered against Moses and against Aaron, that they looked toward the tabernacle of the congregation: and, behold, the cloud covered it, and the glory of the LORD appeared. 16:43 And Moses and Aaron came before the tabernacle of the congregation. 16:44 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 16:45 Get you up from among this congregation, that I may consume them as in a moment. And they fell upon their faces. 16:46 And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a censer, and put fire therein from off the altar, and put on incense, and go quickly unto the congregation, and make an atonement for them: for there is wrath gone out from the LORD; the plague is begun. 16:47 And Aaron took as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the congregation; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people: and he put on incense, and made an atonement for the people. 16:48 And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed. 16:49 Now they that died in the plague were fourteen thousand and seven hundred, beside them that died about the matter of Korah.

                                Matthew:
5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled
10:21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.
10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
