Well, I'd have $190.00 more than I had before she was raped, I'd know she finally got married and was off on her own. I'd know that I was going to have legitimate grandchildren. So I'd say I'd be pretty happy about it.

What in god's name is going on in here?
Since when do woman have no right to decide themselves what they want to do if they get raped by someone, which is a very serious crime.
What i read here is just disgusting,
how can most of you still call yourselves human beings.
don't you have any feelings for someone else who has been hurt?

i have totally no problem with your methods of life,
and i myself support the bible and all that lies within.
but i never saw written in the bible that a man can rape a girl without problem. Jesus predicted love, and rape is absolutely not love.

You need to actually read the entire Bible again. Or, if you are too lazy to do that, skim this thread, there are countless times the relevant passages have been quoted. But making a statement like you just did reeks of ignorance.

Do you guys realise that God has said for people to abstain from sexual immorality regardless of gender, and that the bible has warned against women dressing provocatively but did not condemn them?

This rapist has committed sexual immorality.

Also in the Old Testament, if a man claims a woman perforce he needs to pay a penalty to the woman's parents.

I'm sure God would be ashamed at you people twisting the Bible to support your own convictions.

you do not understand the subtelities of the bible ... It is a cure to the sins they both have commited ... The girl sinned by here seductions and the poor guy had sinned by acting like a man would

good evening, morning or afternoon wherever you are at this very moment. i've joined this forum after finding a screenshot of this thread, lingering somewhere on the internet~

now i might look ignorant to you right now since i have just joined and i also haven't read 106 pages of posts, but would none of you have any moral problem with this? it just seems to me that if your daughter would have been raped, as in abused, you would at least protect her from further harm or, you might even attack the rapist yourself, right?

how would you feel if, let's say, a man raped you for reasons unknown to you and your parents would abandon you without a second though? would it not hurt you deeply, knowing that they have left you for dead while you are forced to someone who viciously, brutally, and painfully took away your virginity, that you saved for "that one person"? and even if you are a man, would you be able to take the mental pain of both of these incidents (rape & parents abandoning you + forced to live forever and ever with a person that you might actually hate)?

putting yourself in the shoes of the victim might actually change your outlook on the situation you are discussing at the moment, as opposed to calling a woman a slut while she has not agreed to or hasn't even wanted to have sex with an individual that has committed not only a crime but has also corrupted his purpose; not to harm and to love his fellow christian.

rape =! love.

it is simply giving in to temptations, which is not allowed at all. is this a double standard of some sort?

You need to read this entire thread. We never said we condoned rape. But once a rape has occurred, the woman is obliged to marry the rapist.

We have discussed why women get raped. The rapist does not always bear all the responsibility. Secular law will deal with the rapist.

I suggest stop being so self righteous and think/read/comprehend before you speak, you'll look less silly.
