I hate to bring up a thread that hasn't been posted in so long, but I had a question that I was hoping could be answered...

Of the people here that support the marriage of the daughter and the rapist, how many know that the Deuteronomy verses they keep repeating are in accordance with the Israeli law system at the time of the written book? Please, do not see this as hateful, for I am just a curious bystander that would like to be educated in the word and His followers... Oh, and what if the women is engaged, but not married?

Also, if these have been addressed before, my apologies. I read about... 30 pages in, and decided to ask my questions... If at all they are answered, thank you.

Well, first of all, the girl should obviously be punished for allowing herself to be raped. I recommend daily spankings.

As for her insolent refusal to follow God's law, she must be tied to her bed until she complies. And on no account should she be allowed to murder the child.

are you telling me that a innocent child should accept it was born of rape instead of born out of love, waht moral is the child suppose to take from this. If the female decides to abort the child she aint no murderer, the rapist is the day he murdered her innocense, let him burn in hell

We are only saying that the Biblically prescribed punishment for rape should be carried out, which is that the rapist must buy the victim from her father for 50 shekels, which is the going rate for a woman according to God and the Bible. You are saying that instead of doing what God says we should murder an innocent child. How does that make any sense?

You don't make a lick of sense. You are just looking for an excuse to punish rape victims, murder innocent children, and disobey God. I will laugh at you while you burn in Hell, and so will Jesus.

Yes. I believe that the Bible means EXACTLY what it says. That's what God has commanded!

I think YOU have been interpreting scripture wrong if you think a rapist is going to hell and the woman who has the abortion isn't. You're no Christian, so why should anyone listen to you?
