This thread is years old, I believe it was somewhere around page 86 that the wedding was announced. I can't be sure though, it's been so long.

Does anyone have an update on the couple?

I'm willing to speculate that no God fearing resolution has come about and every day in this young woman's life is a step closer to Hell for her and her bastard child. All with the connivance of Satan's secular ministers on Earth. Just contemplating it makes me feel ill.

Yes, and I thank God daily for the good True Christian™ pastors of Landover Baptist Church to help us know the Bible in the way the Good Lord intended!

Women are created to be help meets of men, not to compete with them as if we are men (Genesis 2:18). We are created to glorify our husbands (Proverbs 12:4) and if God chooses to redeem a terrible rape with a Godly marriage than who are you, who am I, to say God is wrong?

You may think it's a terrible thing to endure, being forced to lie, or bend over, and take a stranger's thrust inside you while you are helpless, perhaps with a gun to your head or a knife to your throat, or maybe the threat of some horrible retribution of you don't succumb to the advance, but this life is TEMPORARY! What is a few moments of horror for an eternity of God's presence for ETERNITY?

We cannot know the will of God and so to refuse to follow this one command, this one that seems to go against our moral code today, is to avoid God's reward for eternity. For all you know, the rapist will be converted by his wife's good and Godly nature (1 Peter 3:1) and be saved himself and convert hundreds of souls to Christ!

My point exactly, except that I was originally applying it to people who claim that some women invite rape by their dress or manners.

We can have no idea why God would allow for a woman to be raped. Rather than focus on what she's done to attract the lustful sin of the rapist, a woman ought to be instructed how to win the heart of her rapist/husband for the glory of God.
