Lie-beral academic commits hate speech against abstinence pledges

Common sense should tell you that abstinence works; after all, birth-control devices work only when used perfectly every time, whereas no one has ever gotten pregnant or contracted an STI (sin-transmitted illness) from abstinence. Yet some lie-beral academic with a dzhooish last name has decided to turn common sense on its head and say that abstinence causes unprotected sex.

From The Washington False Christian Post:

Premarital Abstinence Pledges Ineffective, Study Finds
Teenagers Who Make Such Promises Are Just as Likely to Have Sex, and Less Likely to Use Protection, the Data Indicate

Teenagers who pledge to remain virgins until marriage are just as likely to have premarital sex as those who do not promise abstinence and are significantly less likely to use condoms and other forms of birth control when they do, according to a study released today.

The new analysis of data from a large federal survey found that more than half of youths became sexually active before marriage regardless of whether they had taken a "virginity pledge," but that the percentage who took precautions against pregnancy or sexually transmitted diseases was 10 points lower for pledgers than for non-pledgers.

"Taking a pledge doesn't seem to make any difference at all in any sexual behavior," said Janet E. Rosenbaum of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, whose report appears in the January issue of the journal Pediatrics. "But it does seem to make a difference in condom use and other forms of birth control that is quite striking."

"It is remarkable that an author who employs rigorous research methodology would then compromise those standards by making wild, ideologically tainted and inaccurate analysis regarding the content of abstinence education programs," said Valerie Huber of the National Abstinence Education Association.
Ms. Huber is exactly right, despite the fact that as a woman, she has no business addressing the general public, a group that plainly includes the superior sex. Any fancy-pants academic analysis that contradicts what we True Christians™ know in our hearts to be true must be the result of lie-beral bias and a politically correct agenda. If you need it spelled out for you exactly how the analysis is inaccurate, then you obviously lack spiritual discernment.
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.

I never got anyone pregnant when I abstained from sex. It worked for me, so I don't see why it shouldn't work for everyone else. I think they should be looking at the morals of the kids who make these false pledges. Like most children, they tell authority figures what they want to hear, and then go and do the exact opposite. Are you surprised? Maybe someone should tattoo an 'L' on their foreheads (for liar).
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

I think that Janet Rosenbaum is the same person who kept interrupting me during one of my anti-masturbation seminars.

Re: Lie-beral academic commits hate speech against abstinence ple

I think we're all missing the point here: this study is PROOF that abstinence works. Take a look:

Teenagers who pledge to remain virgins until marriage are just as likely to have premarital sex as those who do not promise abstinence and are significantly less likely to use condoms and other forms of birth control when they do,

See? They are signifigantly less likely to murder their children! Abstinence saves children's lives!

the percentage of students who reported condom use was about 10 points lower for those who had taken the pledge, and they were about 6 percentage points less likely to use any form of contraception.

10% less murdered babies is proof that it works. Anyone who supports sex-ed rather than abstinence pledges obviously wants 10% more dead babies.

Anyway, it doesn't matter if they use condoms, because condoms don't work:

"Abstinence education programs provide accurate information on the level of protection offered through the typical use of condoms and contraception," [Valerie Huber of the National Abstinence Education Association] said. "Students understand that while condoms may reduce the risk of infection and/or pregnancy, they do not remove the risk."

See? Condoms don't even remove the risks of sex, so it doesn't matter if kids don't wear them.
Disagree? By failing to register and debate me, you prove that liberals are factless frauds who only persuade through intimidation. To prove otherwise, debate me!
