Re: Subliminal messages in Harry Potter turn girls into harlots!
i would like to say that the people on this website disgust me. 99% of you say have you ever even read the bible. well here is a question for you. have you ever read harry potter? now dont twist my words, i am not sayig that harry potter compares to the bible. but i AM saying that The only messages that HP sends are this
.love is the ultimate power
. stick with your friends
.good triumphs
. the power of team work
. and to inspire childeren all over the world to reach hhigher and take the higher path
NOW unless i am mistaked these are all messages that your bible spreads as well. not once in harry potter doesmit condone drugs, nor gay sex or underage sex, or underage drinking. i have read each book multiple times and i have not had sex, not ever drank, not ever done drugs, nor do i find anything attractive about other males. I am one with god and i know him to be understanding, loving, accepting off all creed colors race religion and beliefs, but most of all compassionate and fair. the people of this "house of god" as you call it represent none of these things. You are hateful, spiteful, angry, evil, judgemental, arrogent, and disgustingly old fashioned. If YOU people wish to find a spot in heaven then i strongly suggest you repent of these evil ways and learn to be a true loving induvisual.
yours sincerely,
Riley W, speaker of truth

You're probably the only decent person who has read the Hairy Potter books and has also taken a pledge of purity. For that you should be praised. Now go burn your HP books and start praising Jesus!

Re: Subliminal messages in Harry Potter turn girls into harlots!
Those posters are not sending sublimial messages to anyone. She was pointing her wand at the screen, not to 'cast a satanic spell' but because it grabs attention to viewers. And in NONE of those posters did I see those things, even once you wrote them out. Who has time to stare at posters and make things up? And as for the Voldemort thing, there is smoke in the background because it adds effect to the poster. I'm tired of people saying that Harry Potter is Satanic! The whole story plot is about love, and good vs. evil. And I am a Christian that goes to a Baptist Church, but Harry Potter is not telling young girls to raise their skirts and have sex and smoke pot! I have followed these books and movies since 2nd grade, and I have never done any of these things. Especially have sex, since I have made a Purity Pledge.

Why are you ignoring the link I gave you? If you refuse to accept Jesus, you are assured that you are going to Hell, that's what we mean with that. I said this before. Of course, when someone repents and accepts Jesus, he will be assured to go to Heaven instead of Hell. It is not fixed and invariable, even though it might seem so to you.My point is that "Assured Damnation" seems fixed and invariable; however, the possibility and hope (that someone can be introduced/reintroduced to Jesus and Christianity) should be, according to Christianity, forever present.
If you have knowledge about the Bible, why are you ignoring the parts about witchcraft in there? No, I usually read the Bible regularly, though the past month I haven't as much. I'm not trying to antagonize, just want to have a discussion about this important matter to me.

Re: Subliminal messages in Harry Potter turn girls into harlots!
First of all, this is NOT a debate forum. Please read THIS thread before making an even bigger fool of yourself.
Secondly, while the internets might seem to be "free" to you, this particular corner of the internets is a privately owned Christian forum. The rights you have on this forum are listed HERE. Please contact a Pastor immediately if you feel that any of your rights have been violated.
Finally, your unsaved opinions or tantrums are not even slightly of interest to us. We follow the Holy Word of God TO THE LETTER, and make no apologies for that. One of the most important commandments in the Bible tells us to avoid unsaved scum such as yourself. You wandered in here uninvited, and unwelcome .
Please make a thread of your own in the "Introductions" section of the forum, so that we can properly greet you. Tell us about yourself, your church, and how you came to find Jesus.
And if you're here to flame us, better take a look at THIS before making an even bigger ass out of yourself.
I will pray that the Holy Spirit enter you and chase the demons out of your rectum and let Jesus fill you with His Grace. If you use your God-given free will to reject Christ and His temporary death on the cross for my sins, then you are sending yourself to hellfire.

Wrong: sorcerers go to Hell.Originally posted by Avocado15 View Post2. It's already been said by some like me in this forum that Harry Potter is a series with very Christian values.
Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
It's nice that Ms. Rowling stole inspiration from the KJV 1611 Bible, but that doesn't make Harry Potter Christian. He will still go to Hell. And so will people who are corrupted by him.
Again: Harry Potter has NOT surrendered to God, accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and has NOT even read a single page from the KJV 1611 Bible?
Our points of view derive directly from the KJV 1611 Bible. If you read it, you'll understand everything there is to know.Originally posted by Avocado15 View PostPlease respond and help me understand your points of view!

You forget to mention that Harry Potter teaches children to practice magic. Here is an overview of Harry Potter and its occult characteristics, written by an ex-occultist, who is an expert on matters like these.Originally posted by Avocado15 View Post2. It's already been said by some like me in this forum that Harry Potter is a series with very Christian values. If someone has not accepted Jesus, it is assured that that person is hellbound. We all know that, don't we? I don't see what the contradiction is here.3. Lastly (and unrelatedly, I apologize), why is it that banned posters have "Aeternal Damnation Assured" next to their name? Isn't one of the fundamentals of Christianity that no matter how much one has sinned, if he or she appeals to God with true remorse and desire for forgiveness and Christianity, he or she will be forgiven? "Aeternal Damnation Assured" seems pretty conflicting to this principle.

Re: Subliminal messages in Harry Potter turn girls into harlots!
Okay, I have some points that I disagree with but I want to make it clear I am not attacking, I am just interested in hearing what people have to say.
1. I believe that subliminal messaging is a greedy way to get consumers interested in buying products through subliminal remembrance and not through genuine interest in the product. However, these are the actions of the publicity and marketing directors, as they are with every product. Harry Potter, J.K. Rowling, and its core values are completely independent of the process in which this messaging is released.

Re: Subliminal messages in Harry Potter turn girls into harlots!
Ah, but good sir, this is where you are wrong. The first Bible was not written by God - instead, it was written by a man named Guttenberg during the Middle Ages when printing was introduced. The Bible is, indeed, the first book to be printed - but it was not by God's hand that made it so. It was only one who meant to spread the word of the Lord, and made it so that all could read His wisdom.Originally posted by Pastor Ezekiel View PostYes, but the difference is, the Holy Bible was written by God Almighty, and is designed to lead one to Salvation.
Harry Potter was written by a british witch, and is a recruiting tool for satan.
And also, the statements about Twilight being a recruiting tool for Mormonism and Satan are the only statements I could ever agree with here.

Look hippy, if you want to practice Satanism and put little boys in dresses, that's one thing, but putting it in a children's movie is entirely worse.

Re: Subliminal messages in Harry Potter turn girls into harlots!
You dare to call Harry Potter evil? If you look past your petty thoughts and actually read the books then you will see a message in the books. Not one of those "subliminal" Messages (You were looking for something to accuse Harry Potter of and thought since you couldn't find anything, let's make something up!) but a deeper more meaningful message. If you actually took your time to read the books (and if you think I am yelling at you now, please don't I am trying to be as calm as possible) then you will see what they are telling you: Love tripumphs over evil always. If you read the books then you woudl see that Harry's mom died to save him which made him invincible for 13 years. So Harry Potter represents love. Voldemort represents all hatred and evil. He resembles a snake like the snake in the garden of Adam and Eve. He uses temptation and lies to get people on his side. You can watch the 1st movie for that. But, in the end, Harry Potter (love) defeats Voldemort (hate). Not to mention Dumbledore gives good advice about how to live throughout the book that woudl apply to all people. I am sorry if I offended you. I just think that your hatred of Wizards and Witchs has blinded all people (not just you Bobby Joe) that agree to those subliminal messages. And, another thing, Harry Potter cannot and will not be stopped. People will always love it, people will always be fanatic about it no matter what you do or what you say.Originally posted by Bobby-Joe View PostSweet merciful savior! I knew Harry Potter was bad but I had no idea. I am going to go to Movie Posters.com and buy every Harry Potter poster I can afford, have them shipped to my house priority mail and then burn them myself.
We Christians have to put a stop to this evil NOW!
