    Corporal Punishment Under Attack (AGAIN!)

Folks, my heart goes out to this innocent man, who is being persecuted for following a Biblical approach to child rearing. A two year old needs a little swat now and then, or else they'll turn in to a rotten three year old!

PS I probably would have used a fly swatter, or perhaps my smallest spatula, just to avoid problems with our secular government agencies.

I'm a little surprised that the court would want to involve themselves in a minor matter of chastisement. As far as his beating the child until it was blind; I wonder how the court managed to square that charge with Exodus 4:11 And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?

The Lord made the child blind, yet it seems this gentleman has been punished for it.

Re: Corporal Punishment Under Attack (AGAIN!)

This is disgusting. The moral depravity of the world in these end times is sickening. Why can't the government just take a "hands-off" approach to child rearing? Who knows better how to discipline a child, the big ol' government or a caring pseudo-father who has known the child for over a quarter of a year? This is yet another case of Obama's long-reaching fingers coming into our rooms and telling us what we can and can't do to teach our children. Pretty soon, with this sort of "big government", we're going to have to fill out a form to have Obama approve of our sending a child to time out, or to take their dinner way for the night.

I'm also disappointed in the Denver justice department for not looking on the bright side here: this girl has been saved of committing the sin of lust at any point in her life. She will avoid the constant bombardment of images on the TV, magazine covers and billboards of Brad Pitt's luscious abs, Tom Cruise's sensitive-but-masculine jawline and of course the tempting flirting of Orlando Bloom. Any most likely, although the article doesn't state, she will be saved of ever having any sort of intimacy with the opposite sex until her husband forces uses her. That's the sort of parenting that gets overlooked these days. Let's not focus on the bad, let us look to the good. Of course I am an eternal optimist, a real glass-half-full kind of person.

As you all know, I am not only a Bible expert but a spanking enthusiast (in that I advise parents to "lay it on for Jesus" and also have the largest paddle and disciplinary accoutrement collection in Iowa). I'd like to take a moment here to remind you of what God says on the subject. Thank you.

He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes. -- Proverbs 13:24

Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him. -- Proverbs 22:15

Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die. Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell. -- Proverbs 23:13-14
