It would still be sinful. If someone gets lung cancer, it's because God struck them with the affliction to punish them for their sins. It would be going against the Divine Will of the LORD to attempt to treat any sort of demonic affliction with the use of synthetic "drugs". Not to mention, since THC is the active ingredient, it's probably the stuff that puts demons in the rectum when marihuana is smoked. That means it's still not safe.

Have done so. Aside from a comment about hippies trying to legalise the drug via a back door (countered by the ability to make it in forms that don't get the user high), I couldn't see anything relevant. Are there are specific posts I missed?

To put it in perspective, drug companies have been trying for years to make a synthetic THC (the primary active ingredient). Surely this suggests that there are some desirable properties in the plant?
