Dear goodly Christians, I have noticed a terrible thing. Recently I have been staying near an old friend with an 18 year old son, graduating from high school in a week. We have all spent much time together, and I thought the boy was doing quite well. My friend has brought up their son to be an avid reader, but lately his literature choices have had me worried. I have seen him with works by a man (possibly gay?) named Philip K. Dick; a book called "A Scanner Darkly," that describs the joys of drug use, and another called "Ubik" (by the same author), which dares tell the reader of an afterlife existing in one's own head, with no mention of God as an authoritative figure.
I have also seen him reading a book called "Redwall," which dares use Biblical figures' names for an unholy abomination of human crossed with various rodents and vermin. Please take note that these are the most recent examples, and he could very well be reading even more disgusting material. How could I convince him and his mother what he is reading is unholy, and what books should I make him read? Please help!
