Also it may very well say hit your child with a rod, but please direct me to the part where it says that you should beat a foetus with a rod. Yes by all means punish your child when he/she does something wrong, but why beat them from before the start of their life? That is abuse, not salvation.

If children grow up in fear of their parents they will always be haunted by that, i was never struck while growing up and am thankful for it. Relationships should be formed on mutual respect, not fear.
