Yes, I hit my kids. I have a lightning fast back of the head cuff, and that's only my quick response. Their father gets a hold of them and they don't sit down for a few days.

A better idea than to beat your children is to confiscate their i.e favorite toy or something, tell them that they can have it back when they have said they're sorry and really means it!

And another child telling me how I should raise children.

Before I left Canada, my oldest was in the 90th percentile in his grade. In Iowa homeschooling has to be done under the supervision of a certified teacher and the children must be tested annually to make sure they're keeping up. If I put my kids in public school they'd put the oldest on Ritalin and the middle child would be in the shrinks for being too withdrawn. How is that going to help them experience things? Public schools are more interested in figuring out what's wrong with a kid than they are with teaching them.

Anyway, if you're a product of public school, you're not exactly proof that my children would learn anything. You can't spell, you are nuts with the exclamation points, and you have a very messed up idea of what Christianity is. Our lives here are very short compared to where we spend eternity; I would rather my children "miss out" on learning how to pick up STDs and learn more about God.

Both of my parents used to hit me. My mothers favorite was a flyswatter and my father had a hardwood spanking stick that was his fathers. It was brought over from Europe and had all the proverbs about beating your children written on it. It used to hang over the entrance into the kitchen. I love both my parents dearly.

Also I don't homeschool because they'll tell someone. I homeschool because public schools are nothing but indoctrination camps. They can't be bothered to teach a child to read or write, but they can spend 3 hours a day discussing feelings. If schools actually taught things anymore, then I might consider sending them to school. I know it would be a lot easier on me.
