But the mental aspect of beating children seems crystal clear to me. It makes them into decent God fearing mentally stable people.

I would much rather take parenting advice from someone like Cranky Old Man who has produced many good True Christian™ children and grandchildren than listen to mamby pamby child psychologists who have never even raised a puppy let alone a child.

I do not know where you are from as, on your profile, you choose to NOT disclose your location, but recently I found myself in sole custody of my fiancée's three boys. I do not have kids of mine own so it was a struggle for me to administer God's will upon these boys. BUT. I had to do the right thing by the boys ... thus ......

Secondly, while the internets might seem to be "free" to you, this particular corner of the internets is a privately owned Christian forum. The rights you have on this forum are listed HERE. Please contact a Pastor immediately if you feel that any of your rights have been violated.

Finally, your unsaved opinions or tantrums are not even slightly of interest to us. We follow the Holy Word of God TO THE LETTER, and make no apologies for that. One of the most important commandments in the Bible tells us to avoid unsaved scum such as yourself. You wandered in here uninvited, and unwelcome .

it's you people that Child Services needs to focus on. Do you realize how terrible it is to hit your baby? Or beat your child for doing a natural activity like masturbating? OR COMPLETELY CENSOR THEM FROM THE REAL WORLD, SCARE THEM, AND BEAT THEM RUTHLESSLY OVER A BRONZE AGE BOOK?

Raising Babies:

For any new parent, a baby can be a tad irritating. However, if you follow my guide, it can be richly rewarding! If your baby cries, try to see what is the matter. Babies cannot talk, so they can't tell us what is wrong. He can cry if he's hungry, tired, annoyed, went poo, or worse, hurt himself. Calm him down, and he will stop crying. Fortunately, when they learn to speak, they will tell you what the problem is. NEVER hit a baby! They are vulnerable and delicate!

Raising Younger Children:

When your child turns 6, they will be able to go to school. Bring your child to a public school so he can make new friends! Or if you wish, you may homeschool him. When your child learns to read, give him a Bible. Teach him about the good word. Have him read a little of the Bible and maybe other books to you every day. Don't say to him "You have to memorize that whole book!" Say "Read a little every day, and soon you'll know the whole bible!" Kids at this age can be really curious, so keep them by your side until you can trust them.

Raising Older Children:

When your child enters junior high, they can be trusted with more. Give them more responsibilities, but give them more privileges too. You may also want to give them an allowance to teach them the value of money. Start teaching your little girls how to cook and sew. Teach your little boys how to be a businessman. Prepare them for the outside world!

Entertainment Guidelines:

Let your children watch shows and play video games that you have tested to make sure it is safe and appropriate for children. Netflix's Just For Kids has lots of good, safe shows. Get games rated EC for young children, E for 6 and up, E10 for 10 and up, and T for 13 and up. Overall, though, you are the judge of what your child plays and views, and what you think is appropriate and inappropriate for them.

Good Discipline:

If your child does something little, like say something rude accidentally, talk with them about what they just did and make them agree not to repeat the inappropriate behavior. If your child does something slightly worse, take a toy or book of theirs and tell them they can have it back when they say they're sorry and really mean it. Beatings should only be used as a last resort, and if you make the child bleed, you've gone too far. Worst it should be is mild bruising.
