on the other hand, it's also the swedish form of the name Louis, whitch is the french form of the german name ludwig. it means "famous warrior".

also, sweden is a great country, we have taxfunded healthcare, daycare and schools. we have low unemployment, and much lower poverty than for example the united states.

Yes, we're well aware of Sweden's communist nature. Don't come crying to us when your rejection of free enterprise and the wonders of the free market causes everything to come crashing down. But your eyes will be opened once you've fully embraced Jesus. Why, we even have a Belgian in our congregation, and that's not even a real country!

So anyway, can we call you Lou? That's a much more appropriate name for a decent heterosexual man.

love a name older than you'r entire country, it is not even pronounced the same way as your word...
and why should i cahnge my name to lou? they both have the same meaning, i see no reason to change it.
it was the name given to me by my parents, a name i have defended all my life.
and what does a name actually mean to you?
if you are so hostile against the concept of love, why not ban the names,such as: Connor, David, Dewey and Jebidiah, names that literally mean "love"...

Because in American "Love" just isn't a proper name for a man. It's not just hippyish, but - and I was hoping not to go here - it's a little sissyish. David? Great! Jebidiah? Wonderful! Love? That's more fitted to a satanic witch television "star" (Not safe for work, children, or low-level tithers) than a man!

but why does it have to be american?
i write it in swedish i write Love, pronounced Loh-ve, an old, respectable and in all ways a quite manly name. the only problem is that you chose to missunderstand it.

and the television star you mention, she is a woman, and since the swedish name Love is a mans name, i must assume that she uses the american form, which is a female name, and does mean love, as in the concept.

i am only saying that even though two words look alike, they might not be the same.

I'm just trying to help you out here. Once you convert to True Christianity(tm), you'll probably want to move to a country where you'll be less persecuted for it - The United States of America. Once here, people will laugh at your name and make you feel shame. It might even interfere with your salvation. Neither of us wants that. I can tell you this, a man named "Love" will have a very hard time finding a place to live in Freehold.

have no one ever uttered a harsh word about your belief?
in sweden the religious are not persecuted, but all beliefs are threated equally. sure, there are beliefs that no sane human being would convert to, but still, all can believe as they wish.

We get persecuted all the time. God has been forced out of schools, Demoncrats control congress, and a Mooslim is running for president! I'm just saying we get persecuted less here than we are in Europe.
