Re: Sesame Street: Satan's Road To Hell

what? everyone is free to believe, if you are convincing, you get people to join your faith, simple as that, mostly you wont be taunted because of your beliefs, as nobody will have the right to silence you.

Re: Sister Mary Maria discusses theology with a Swede

I moved our discussion to a new thread so we don't further derail the one about the evils of Sesame Street.

If everyone is free to believe whatever they want, people will believe whatever nonsense Satan throws their way! That's religious persecution at its most pernicious.

Re: Sister Mary Maria discusses theology with a Swede

also, how can anyone be a true christian if he does not see the other religious paths?
it is the coise that makes you christian, if you do not see the other paths, you will walk one path because you are forced to, not because you believe.
if there are only the bible to read, noone will chose to read the bible, they will be forced to do so.
that will only inspire hate as all humans hate those who do not give them a choice.
do not the bible say that though the angels are greater than most men, humans can grow stronger in their faith as they can also doubt it?

What other paths? There is only one, and it is narrow indeed!

Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

there is always more than one way, just because one path is more traveled does not make it correct.

also, sweden is a great country, we have taxfunded healthcare, daycare and schools. we have low unemployment, and much lower poverty than for example the united states.

                  Dear Lovey,

All the tax money in the US is spent on unemployable minorities. They enjoy the same benefits you Swedes do (i.e. free housing, free healthcare, free daycare and foodstamps that can be easily redeemed for crack and malt liquor).

Do you play basketball in Sweden? How would you like us to send you a boatload of negroes so you could start a Swedish Basketball Association?

There is the only path to Salvation and in this case it is lesser traveled.

You need to read KJV1611 rather than putting out that homespun philosophy - you must have enough to make a suit by now...

yes we do play basketball, and many of the players are in fact black.
and i personaly would not mind it, in my experience immigrants are often hard workers who gladly take lowpaid jobs that nobody else wants.
also, i did not say anyone were given free housing.
and why do yousee it necessary to taunt me? have i in any way offended you? what, in your opinion, gives you the right to mock me?

and siter mary, if you say that there are only one path, then what are the other religions?
even if the bible tells you that other paths leads to ethernal damnation, they are still paths, are they not?
and every path has it's curves, no mather what path you walk you can be led astray. how else do people convert from a religion?

Lovey, I was not trying to mock you. I was just trying to point out that the system in the US is flawed. The people who are unemployable reap the benefits and the Godly hard working Christians pay the taxes to perpetuate their shiftlessness. The coloreds amount to about 13% of our population but better than 50% of our prison population. Social programs do not work here; the darkies would rather rape white women than take advantage of the free educational programs available to them.

I cannot walk down a street in a major US city without being asked "Sup momma, chew evah haf a nigga?" I hope that women in your country are not subjected to indignities like this!

every man was given a soul and told to walk the path he chose. whatever path is right is shown as the man leaves us.
to put a man in chains, to own another being is to deny what was given to us, to every man and woman born.
we were born with the gift to do right and to do wrong, that is what was intended.
then is it not wrong to rob another man of that gift?
