    You've inspired me

    Truly, you have inspired me.
Before I came here, I didn't read the Bible nearly as much as I should have. However, after coming here and reading what you have posted and realizing that much of it is straight from the Bible, I was forced to ask some questions. I turned to the Bible and started reading it, and this time I made a conscious effort not to just avoid the parts that are mean and nasty.
I have come to a conclusion: The Bible is wrong!
It's a big step for me, but there are so many horrible verses in there that describe a god who is more bloodthirsty than the worst tyrant in history. I have no desire to worship a God who will kill a man for refusing to impregnate his dead brothers wife. I have no desire to worship a God who would demand animal sacrifice on a regular basis. I have no desire to worship a God who would allow Job to be tortured by Satan simply to prove a point.
Say what you will; your Bible doesn't scare me anymore.

Well, how nice for you. You've decided, when presented with the full majesty and awe inspiring love of Christ, to instead embrace all that is evil, putrid and foul. You've had your chance, and you've intentionally rejected Him. So be it.

Luke 9:5 And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.
You have no further business here, demon.

At first I thought we had brought someone to the light, but upon opening your thread, it turns out that you're only here to spit in the face of CHRIST.

YOU WILL NOT GET AWAY WITH THIS! GO AHEAD WITH YOUR SINFUL WAYS, AND SAY THE BIBLE IS WRONG!! WE'LL SEE WHO IS WRONG ON JUDGEMENT DAY WHEN OUR FATHER GOD SLINGS YOUR BODY INTO THE FIERY PITS OF HELL TO BE TORTURED ETERNALLY FOR REJECTING HIS PRECIOUS LOVE!!!!

If this is an example of what you call "love," then it's exactly the reason I reject the Bible.
I would have expected you to try to convert me or something, but instead all you seem to do is threaten me and try to get me away from here.
I'm still searching for truth, but I don't think it's in the Bible.

When you came here, weren't you LOOKING for the truth? Couldn't you see that it was RIGHT UNDER YOUR NOSE!!??

I feel extreme conviction to SAVE YOUR SOUL!!!

Do you know what you're rejecting?? Eternal happiness in HEAVEN WITH OUR HEAVENLY FATHER IS AT STAKE!!!! Can't you imagine worshipping HIM forever and ever, and praising Him?!! Doesn't that mean anything to you!?

As I stated earlier, I have no desire to worship a god who is a bloodthirsty bastard. In the bible, the god that you worship kills at the drop of a hat. Worse yet, he commands his people to kill for the slightest infraction. I mean, seriously, the bible commands that a woman who is raped marry her attacker or, under certain circumstances, she has to be put to death, too. No, any god who demands the death penalty for a rape victim doesn't deserve my worship.

I can't say I'm thrilled by your choice after learning who God Himself says He is, but at least you've taken the first step and actually read His Word.

Tell me, Anne, where do you think the truth IS, if not in the Bible?

Do you think you will find it in some made-up religion like Wicca or Rastafarianism? Worshipping trees and rocks like the wannabe-pagans and the Shintoists? Creating your own "deities" to worship, or adopting those created by others?

Is truth something you make up for yourself?

Or does truth exist at all, Anne?

If truth is not in the Bible, Anne, where IS it?

                I don't know; that's why I'm searching.
I have found where the truth is NOT. Sometimes, that can be just as important as finding where it is.

Well, Anne, I certainly wish you luck in finding your way to the real Jesus in time, now that you know where to find Him whenever you want to be reminded of Him.

He's in the Bible, not in the false words of lying preachers who tell Feelgood Fables to get you coming back each Sunday and putting your cash in the plate.

Sound advice and I might add something my Daddy Remington used to say... "The Bible, either you believe it all or you don't" What we are trying to do here is educate folks about how dangerous it is to believe your favorite parts of the bible, but ignore others. I assure you, Jesus hates folks who manipulate HIS word!

This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.
