So what? Putting computers together is why God made so many Chinese. Maybe you should go to Shanghi and get a job on a line their plugging in boards all day?

Time to reclaim our FREEDOM from the “Mullah in Chief” and his growing activist voter hoards of socialists, communists, anti-Semites, anti-Christians, atheists, radical gays and lesbians, feminists, illegal immigrants, Muslims, anti-Anglo whites and others.

So, you've lied once again. You make claims that you cannot back up, you attack us for our beliefs, you spew hatred and anger at Jesus, and now you say you are just too busy with your own selfish activities to keep your word.

          God hates you boy.

          Proverbs 6
[16] These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
[17] A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
[18] An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
[19] A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
Isn't it odd that you have the time to mock True Christianity™, but no time to keep your word or read the Bible.

And he lies and contradicts himself within his own posts! Does he really expect us to believe he's going to school all day and working 9-5 at the same time?
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

And yet he makes time to come here and tag a little one-liner on every thread daily!

              How touching!

I, for one, would be far more impressed if he used that time to write two or three intelligent, researched posts backing up his position on one discussion issue or another.

Hello my son, I believe you are referring to me.

As a naturally forgiving man, who always has the best interests of young men like you in mind, I will allow you the impetuous tone and move towards your essential edification.

Firstly, you must understand that the majority of Baptists here are barely literate to start with and discussing computers with them is akin to explaining particle physics to a Yak. These folks spend much of their time chasing Wiccans and threatening to stone people for their earthly weaknesses.

Secondly, while some computer operating systems are perfectly fine for tasks like monitoring Altar boy schedules, handling international banking transactions and keeping track of priceless and massive museum collections, others are best suited for the creative arts. I speak, of course, of Apple computers.

You see it is more than the individual parts that make a computer great. Yes, any modestly trained half-wit can shove a few off the shelf parts into a box and send electrons scurrying but the resulting 'computers' are no more than gadgets of the devil. Remember...even as we speak the porn industry is being courted by the big evil companies vying for DVD standard supremacy...but not Apple.

Imagine a Church that just grabs any old compatible doctrine and bundles it up with a number of other doctrines that rarely work together. Sound familiar?

This is the type of paganistic approach that greeted Jesus when he preached his Gospel here on earth...and what did it get him?

For hundreds of years the vast majority of Romans tortured, maimed and persecuted those brave new Christians who saw the light. The authorities of the day went out of their way to diminish and mock the small Christian movement but in the end, the closed architecture of the teachings of Jesus prevailed.

                Again...sound familiar?

Please take my advice and open up to possibilities you have never considered and if not...when you go to bed tonight try the other hand...it will feel more like when mom does it.

                Bless you, my future Baptist
                Father Mo
                A Cardinal in the making.

Yes, yes, yes, yes, so can a lot of people. The key word here is "build". What we can do (and I and many others can do it too, even if it takes us a bit longer because we haven't had the practice) is bolt the essential parts (once we've got them) together.

Given the box to put it all in, given the motherboard, given the harddrive, etc, etc, you can bolt them all together and connect them up. All of which is about as hard as putting a furniture kitset together.

Still, I prefer to buy a name brand. That way you are guaranteed hardware compatibility from the start, and they will look after you in other respects.

In my experience, most people who build cheap clones end up with inferior machines. It's like these people who build their own cars or hotrods. Their cars spend more time up on ramps in the garage with pieces of them all over the floor than they do on the road.

Miss, Petal, I believe that the young lady in that picture has shown much more skill than it takes to bolt the bits of a computer together. And this is what Mr Maverick is doing -- he doesn't build anything himself, he just gets old bits and bolts them all together.

I'm working nights, as in, 4-12, usually, and school during the day.

My custom built PC is a LOT more powerful than almost ALL store-bought PCs, minus Alienware.

And yes, by build I mean I actually take the parts and bolt them together, and connect the cables, and insert processors, RAM, etc.

So 20 minutes IS a reasonable time.

                          Brother,

Maybe he means "build" as in he fabricates the PCB boards, components, hardware with his own hands, the loads the boards, hand solders them and assembles them in twenty minutes? That truly would be a wondrous thing and Brother Worthington would have a place for him in one of his companies. The Lord would truly have to be with this child since only the Power of Jesus® could let you hand solder surface mounted and ABGA components to a PCB on your kitchen table. The Power of Jesus® also would protect him from Satan in the from of ESD damage to the new computer. Those with Christ are always static safe, properly grounded.
