Up coming movie on Freehold cable

So as part of my job here Freehold me and some of the security staff review movies they are going to show on Freehold Light of the Lord Cable to screen for improper content. We had to start doing it after someone at the station though “Firm for his Love” as a Christian inspiration and not a gay porn flick.

So one of the newest ones was this period piece “Henry IV, Christian warrior” done by the same media company Walsh works for. The Henry IV they are talking about was a German emperor who in the 11th Century got in fight with the pope over the pope’s authority. Many Christian historians feel Henry IV was a proto TRUE Christian™ because of this. Me, sure many of those medieval guys when to church a lot and killed heathen by the score but how many were Republicans?

So Henry IV opens one of his subjects by the name of Count Rupert (who I swear looked a lot like Al Gore) raising an army of a pagan Saxons to attack Henry IV. Great scene with Rupert making a droning speech to his army about how Henry IV clear cutting of forest to increase farmland is hurting the environment while the Saxons eat Christian babies and their witches dance about with goats. Very authentic pagan stuff.

Then the battle is joined We finally get to see Henry IV, who is played by some actor with a Texan accent. I dare say they guy looks kind of familiar to me. As Henry looks on with his army the savage pagan Saxons, finished with their pre-battle pig rape ritual, come screaming across the field only to be meet with a hale of flaming catapult shot. The pagan army is left stunned in shock and awe. Then Henry IV leads his knights in charge that sweep over the pagans and butcher them droves. The surviving Saxons convert to Christianity and Count Rupert von Gorfield is tried by the liberated Saxons and hung. Henry leaves Saxony as crowds of liberated Saxons toss flowers at him and wave their hands at him that have been dyed purple to show they have been to church.

Next, outraged by Henry IV Godly work the Pope excommunicates Henry. Henry rebuts these charges by proving that Pope Kerrus lied about heroism his service on a war galley during the crusades. Henry’s enemies won’t take this lying down; they send the evil blonde haired Countess Mathilda of Clinton to seduce Henry’s son Condrad and twist him into a tool of the pope. Condrad, at Mathilda’s orders, imprisons Henry and then calls a parliament stacked full of Henry’s enemies that deposes Henry as emperor.

Henry is not going down with out a fight. He breaks free of the cell. This is a great scene as Henry just using his wits can cunning fights his way threw a castle full of Conrad’s men. High points are Henry dropping the body of a man at arms with a note tied to it reading “ho, ho, I have a sword now” into a room with Conrad and Henry firing a catapult at Conrad while say “Iche ben mother f*****”.

I think people will like it.

Here is wilkipidea article on Emperor Henry IV so you can see how messed up the liberal view is of him

So...basically Henry stole their land for farming,in order to make a few quid, then when Rupert objected, killed him....and lots of others.

And you think this is in some way authentic?

I daresay that explains the popularity of American Idol.

Considering the history of New Zeeland I would suspect it would be a very familiar story to you Lilith.

Actually Ruport was just using the pagan rage for his own agenda. I didn’t mention it but the Pope had encouraged Count Ruport to declared himself Holy Roman Emperor. What is interesting is these events with Henry IV in the 1080’s starts off a civil war lasts something like four hundred years. For instance the two feuding families in Romeo and Juliet were mixed up in it, in 1400 something. That is what living under Mary worshiping rule will do for you.

They claim they did their research, though I personally will admit our sources on the 11th Century Europe are quite thin. Safe to say Jesus told them were they could fill in the blank spots. Then again they could be roasting people alive and their magicians telling the future with dancing bears like the pagan Lithuanians did in the 15th Century. That is well documented by the Teutonic Knights who were trying to destroy them.

Funny story about pagan magicians Rachael. Olaf, prince of Kiev converts to Christianity in the 9th century. The local pagans are angry that the power of Satan has been weakened. They haul up one of their magicians for a show down. The magician has a reputation for reading the future. Olaf has the magician brought before him.

“You can see the future?” Olaf says.

        “Yes” the pagan magician replies

Olaf pulls out and axe and splits the pagan magician’s skull open.

“Did you foresee this then?” Olaf asks.

The people of Kiev agreed that the power of Christ is more than any false pagan gods. Jesus clearly hid the axe that Olaf had hiden next to him from the pagan magician's familar demon. The icon worshiping Orthodox Church made him a saint for that.
