I was a newly minted Priest back when Mr. Carter, complete with drunken brother and fundamentalist evangelical views, came to power in Washington. It was a difficult time, especially in Rome where there was much concern that only a few election cycles earlier we the American people had managed to vote in the first Catholic to the Presidency.
Here was a die-hard member of the Baptist persuasion holding the most important elected position on earth with not even a Catholic VP in the wings should anything entirely accidental and unforeseen happen to the President!
Fast forward to the most recent news that Mr. Carter, like anybody with a hint of moral conscience and a good number of their own teeth, has all but declared Mr Bush jr and his 'policies' as hugely damaging to American interests around the world. The words "worst ever' keep popping up.
So...If geedubya is chosen by God to lead America how come even famous Baptwits accuse him of gross incompetence and sweeping failure?
