Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. Ephesians 5:22-24

Does a woman have the capacity to decide what candidate to vote for? Maybe. Does God think she should? No. Does she have the legal right to decide her own vote? For now.

Re: 2008 election: who should be president?

As I will be 19 by November 2008, I will most likely be voting. Do American citizens have a say in which people become THE Republican/Democrat candidates? Or is that decided completely within the party?

I doubt that anyone is going to be absolutely perfect with what I want, but I suppose I'll have to go for the person that gets it the closest.

          Guide to Voting 101

In the spring of 08, there will be primaries. When you register to vote, you will be sent a thingy in the mail telling you where you are supposed to vote at.

When your state has it's primary, you go to the polling (voting) place. You go inside, they ask you what you want to vote for: Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, Green... or whatever else is available in your area. (most people take either demo, or repub). You then go into the voting booth and you select the person who you want to be the candidate for whatever positions are up for election. (there may also be some referendums on the ballot)

True Christians (tm) vote Democrat in the primaries. You may ask why, when we are all registered Republicans.

Well, the reason we do this, is it lets us pick our competition of who the Glorious Republican nominee will go up against.

How do you think Dukakis got to be the person to run against the first Bush?

Why was Kerry the person picked last year?

That's right, ballots cast in the favor of the "least electable" person. With New Hampshire and Iowa being two of the earliest states to have primaries, we True Christians (tm) can dictate who we don't want to be the democrap nominee, before the major "blue states" like illinois, and new york and california have the opportunity to cast their votes.

Then, when the person has received enough of the primary votes, their party selects them at their convention.

Then that person is put on the major ballot in November.

At which point, True Christians (tm) vote the "Straight Republican Ticket" (r). This is done, by going down the line and selecting the Republican Nominee for whatever positions are available.

Here's a little bit of info for you, if you go to the primaries and see that someone is running unopposed, go to the other party, and tell them you would like to run for that office. If people are upset with the way the government is running, you could just be elected.

I just needed to add that during the last primary before the presidential election, I did my True Christian (tm) duty, and picked up the Libertarian Party Ticket.

You can see how well it worked as the current president of the U.S. isn't Michael Badnarik. Who knows what would have happend in the November election if it were someone other than him on the ticket, like Gary Nolan or Aaron Russo.

Excuse me, but I think my husband, Mr. Whitford, knows a little bit more about who the better candidates are than I do, and I say "little" sarcastically because he knows a LOT more than I do. You're a racist bigot who spits in the face of Jesus and is heading for an existence of eternal fires in the pits of Hell where you will be weeping and your teeth will be gnashing. The life of this world is incomparable to the Life(or Death in your case) that is to come.

I'm placing my vote for Jesus this coming election... but if He doesn't make His triumphant return by election time I'd probably vote for that Mike Huckabee fellow. He seems to be a down to earth southern baptist who isn't looking to sell out to jews and homers.

I suppose I should start paying more attention to the candidates from now on, since in this election onwards I'll be able to vote...as of this moment though, I don't believe I'm informed enough to make a good decision.

Only seven years ago, I was vehemently opposed to the very idea of America having a president from Arkansas. In the 1990s, Arkansas was a cesspool of corruption, sin, poverty, heathenism, anti-Americanism, liberalism, and the mongrelization of the races. I hated Arkansas, and anyone who was even remotely associated with Arkansas.

But Arkansas has come quite a long way in those seven short years, principally because of the bold and creative leadership of a Governor Mike Huckabee. Today, it's one of the top five Godliest states in the southern Mississippi basin! So I am definitely NOT flip-flopping, I'm merely amending my position to reflect the wonderful changes that have happened over the past six years and five months in the beautiful Land of Opportunity.

Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.
