    Introducing My Archbishop

    This is Archbishop Timothy Michael Dolan. He is the Archbishop of Milwaukee (My ministry is in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee). On my ordination day, I took a vow of respect and obedience to him and his successors.

    Before he was archbishop over here, most of his work was in the Archdiocese of St. Louis (where he was monsignor, then auxiliary bishop). I must say, he is truly the right man for us (he gets straight to the point, yet connects with the people).

    For more information about him, go to:

    See what you think of him.
    ACTS 5:29

    But Peter and the apostles said in reply, "We must obey God rather than men."
    There you have it-so WHAT'S STOPPING YOU COWARDS?

        Quite "gentle", aren't you, making personal attacks. Oh, and, since Benedict XVI has never claimed to be Christ, he shouldn't die until the Second Coming, right?

        BTW, you haven't updated my title yet: Try something crazy, like "Eucharist-Adoring Rhino," or if you want to be nasty, try "Fervent Ardent Holy See Representative Paramecium!"

          Is he married? Does he have children?
          1 Timothy 3:1 This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
          3:2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
          3 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;
          4 One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;
          5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)
          O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

          God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

                Yeah that makes sense: God's talking about Deacons which is why He explicitly states "Bishop" . That makes a lot of sense, Tommy.

                  No, Paul said DEACONS-Your Krud Jokey Villainy (notice the caps) distorted it to say Bishop, because you want bishops married...

                      Oh, I'm sorry, let's look it up in one of the many English-language Bibles the Catholic Church produced when it had a monopoly over men's minds throughout the whole of Europe, shall we? Oh, what's that you say Sooty, they didn't produce any? Because they didn't want ordinary people to be able to read the Bible and find out about the ways in which they distorted it? And that's one of the many reasons that anyone associated with that whore Church is damned to eternal hellfire? How very sad.

                        Going by memory, 64 bit machines can do more than that.

                        Mmm, from what I can read here, the maximum for a 64 bit processor is 18446744073709551615. After an integer overflow, ya usually just get a null value. Depends on the system.
