Hmm...I tend to prefer my first post in a given forum to be more than just a challenging question, but sometimes I like to make exceptions for myself.

What music exactly isn't hated by god? If we stray outside of the realms of choirs and hymns for a moment, what music can have lyrics and still be accepted by god? If I put my radio onto any given channel, I might hear any different number of genres of music, but most of the time the subject matter is either a love song (encouraging promiscuity nine times in ten, if you want to look hard enough), about teen angst (encouraging rebellion, turning the kids away from the lord) or straight up about drugs, drinking and whores - no comment needed there. I can understand a viewpoint of dedicating all interests to the lord, but wouldn't it be a sign of faith to be able to enjoy listening to other things without instantly adopting Satanism?

As for the comment regarding drums being evil. Apparently the beat brainwashes people. Personally, i tend to walk at a fairly steady pace, and I notice that my footsteps tend to form a rythmic pattern, not unlike one on a drumkit: am I brainwashing myself against the lord?
I'll disclaim I am not particularly one of the 'saved' by your definition, I like to think wisdom and common sense are equally as valuable as faith in our ongoing war against the evils of the world.

If you have anything to listen to that isn't a sermon or a church choir, then I would say Classical Music. That and the National Anthem or truly patriotic songs about America, of the folk type would be okay too I guess. Also, military marches.

Who are you individuals to say what God likes or does not? Did the Bible say "Thou shalt not listen to rock, hip hop, rock, country or anything else non-hymnal"? Nope. I agree, music of any genre that promotes ungodliness such as sex outside of marriage, murder, drug abuse, rebellion, etc. are not of God. But the songs that are labeled of the same genre that promote the opposite of the mainstream are not ungodly as you people would like us to believe. Unfortunately, it's messages like those that you give that cause people to walk away and not accept Christ.

I don't believe in KJV only. I believe in KJV primacy for English translation.

I use the NIV. However I started my journey with a KJV Bible that my grandfather had been given when he was thirteen. Darn thing is old. I still have it.

Being of the world, or associated with the world, is to be rebellious against God. However, the music that I am speaking of do not promote rebellion. Not at all. Therefore, they are not worldly songs.

That day is not today. Therefore you have no right to judge for God if He has not already. He never said that he hated rock or rap. He may not like what some songs promote. But not all rock or rap songs promote ungodliness, but actually promote praising the Lord, Jesus, and following His perfect example.

I Cor 2:15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

I Cor 5:12-13 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

I Cor 6:2-3 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

But back to topic. The reason why the music you are speaking is just a form of hating God is simple. They represent hippie kind of LIEberal cherry picking God mocking false Christianity because they don't follow the Bible TO THE LETTER.

You, my brother, have just tried to undermine the power of Jesus Christ. You stick to the laws just as the Pharisees did. You haven't even read the Bible, haven't you. You just take scripture from here and there. Christian do not make animal sacrifices anymore:


Hebrews 9:11-12 - But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

Hebrews 10:10-14 - By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool . For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified .

And Jesus came to fulfill the laws, not to remove them. Read your bible.

Luke 16:17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.
