yes there is some bad catholic priests but that doesn't make the fundamental values of Catholicism bad. im not sure if im misunderstanding people here but are youse saying that because there are evil catholic priests Catholicism is the devil's religion and these evil priests will impact on weather the Almighty Lord will decide weather i'm worthy of eternal life ? :S

Friend, if you want to leave the catholic church, you should probably figure out why you want to leave. If you want to join us (the saved® ) then you should know why you want to be saved.

Have you talked to your priest about your reading of the Bible (hopefully KJV1611)? What did he say? Perhaps you should ask why Tyndale (a translator of the bible) was arrested and tried for heresy, strangled and burnt at the stake.

The reason he was tried, was because he translated the bible into common English. Instead of the Bible being the sole domain of the clergy, it was now available to everyone. This reduced the catholic churches stranglehold on the population. The priests would read latin, the people had no idea what they were saying, and the catholic clergy could set whatever dogma they wanted, because no one knew what was in the bible.

The Bible (KJV1611) is what holds the information for your salvation. It (the bible) isn't your salvation. You must read and understand it to be saved. Just eating a piece of cracker and sipping on some wine isn't going to do it.

Brother, I must disagree with you on one point. It's not a cracker; it's a wafer.

Crackers have actual flavor; communion wafers taste like styrofoam packing peanuts.

There are many names for it. One of my favorites is The Death Cookie.

Secondly, as long as the priestophiles didn't have you blaspheme the holy ghost, you CAN have forgiveness.

Hey, I read somewhere that the Pope evoked the whole "Papal Infallibility" thing to win at Scrabble. It was on the internet, so I know it's true.

Isn't that just like those people? They torture and persecute for centuries; they appropriate people's worldly goods, suppress the availablity of Bibles in living languages, look the other way when the Nazi's come to power; they ordain pedophiles and now they they cheat at Scrabble.

No shame, I tell 'ya. What's next? Are they going to stock pile nuclear weapons and threaten the world if Vatican City doesn't get to host the Olympics?
