Fair enough, I suppose you could even feel slightly poetic, the hand of Justice etc. And No we don't allow stoning in the UK due to "Human Rights". which has ruined our nation.

Someone even said, Terrorists have Human rights too.. Absolute nonsense! People say capital punishment would not reduce the crime statistic. I believe it would reduce it by one at the very least!

More updates regarding the Freehold Summer Stoning Festival
The Party Time Slot will be the BBQ which will be held on Cranky Old Man's backyard.
Also, on Friday July 16th there will be a special sermon performed by our own Rev. Jim Osborne. He will tell us about stones and how God loves stones. After the special sermon there will be an act performed by our children. They will play the story of David and Goliath

      1 Samuel 17:49
And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth.

Then we will have some stones available for exhibition which can only be seen on Friday July 16th! There will be very special stones for you to see. Including the stone which old time favorite Cranky Old Man used to defend his 10 year winning streak stoning champion! We also have the stone which David used to hit Goliath, so don't miss out on this nocturnal prefest!

Just a thought for you to consider, if you haven't got the Goliath target yet, that Negro basketball player Minute Bol just passed, he was like 6 foot 13 inches or so, and there will be life size cardboard cut outs on the market. I mean you would have to take certain liberties as Goliath was not of the afro ethnic persuasion but could be used in a pinch.

On the plus side if any of them fail to find Jesus, we have them in a secure location for stoning. Praise Jesus, can I get an Amen!
Ooops. I just found out the Widow Sharon's log cabin and ENTIRE FARM are some kind of historic landmark

You can't build anything there, or alter the existing buildings.

(But, there's a barn, a corral and a paddock. Those can certainly be used to house the sinners, at least in good weather?)

Well that does present some what of a problem. I have to do a bit of research on who owns the adjacent land. I will need at least 500 acres, but I think I have a plan.

I noticed that at the bottom of this page is what is often called a "disclaimer". It says the site is not responsible for this and that, etc. One of the specific things mentioned is "stoning".

I'm glad they covered it for this site, but at our Festival, we might need something a little more specific like, "We are not responsible for errant stones."

The attendence list grows by the day. Now, buses are being chartered. I've heard people are practicing stone throwing at gravel pits around the area. If we can get some Pastors to do sermons on the Biblical endorcements of stoning, it will be even bigger.

Stone safety could be very important too. you know , start a ''you could put an eye out''or a ''a stone is a terrible thing to waste '' campaign.
A more sedate indoor activity might be to finish a well known ditty ''sticks and stones can break my bones but______________________''.A suitable prize would be awarded for each age category.

Brother Dewitt, once again, the missus will not be traveling with me. She is boiling jars in anticipation of a large canning season this fall. Along with her chores of milking the cows, birthing the horses, feeding the chickens, cleaning out the barn, mowing the law, cleaning the pool, washing my car collection and taking car of the Hutchins homestead, she claims she has not enough time to take off for a few days. I tell her if she'd work harder, she could cut back that 18 hour day to 16 or so. But in any case, my nieces Mandi and Torri wanted to see some of the country, now that they got their GED (at barely 18 years old too) after being homeschooled. Perhaps when we get into town for the festival, you could show Torri some of the sights of Landover for a day or so?

I know you are not a person to forget but I just wanted to know if your wife will be preparing those 6 homemade pies you promised me for the festival.I do miss homemade fruit pies and sure was looking forward to them. I tell you just the thought of pie makes those thoughts of remarrying come to mind.

Actually, I am having her make a bakers dozen. The extra work load is part of the reason she will not be in attendence. While I am at the Festival(tm), she will be catching up on her chores that she neglected while she was baking. I will be helping her too (lest anyone say I do not do my share). I'll be on the porch, sipping old #7, shotgun at my side looking for pie stealers.

Brother Dewitt, someone has to do something about the Widow Sharon.

She keeps calling me about when her holy stones will be here. I told her that because her old farm was on the landmark index, the deal to trade it in for the first-rate, True Christian™ stones might not work, as the property's practically useless to the Church™ now.

I went by her cabin today to get some extra apples for some pies, and she'd collapsed outside. I think she was out there all night. She'd apparently been dragging river rocks up to her porch, in case she didn't get the holy stones. I dribbled some water on her and she came to. Of course, the pump doesn't work anymore and I had to collect it from a stump hollow.

I don't know what to tell her, but anything you can do to explain things to her would be MUCH appreciated. because she has proved to be an EARLY EARLY riser, and starts her phone calls while it's practically still dark out.

I am approaching my wit's end.
