I have received floods of congratulatory emails thanking me (in fact, it should be NephewZebulun) for reminding them of their childhood and the inspirational verse from, “True Christian’s Child’s Garden of Verse.” It is a delightful book suitable for boys and girls alike and highly recommended by all Pastors; it seems stocks are low at the library, so I quote from memory. If you know any more, please contribute.
The verse provided by Nephew Zebulun was,
God made the little midget boys
He made them one and all
He made them in a hurry
And forgot to make them tall.
It is of course, the 2nd verse of the poem, “God’s Creations” the first being the well-known
God made the little nigger boys
He made them in the night
He made them in a hurry
And forgot to paint them white.
There are others
God made all girls and animals
He made them to help their man
He didn’t give them many brains
They do the best they can.
Before making all them Chinks
God thought a while and well;
They all went to worship Buddha;
Now they stoke the fires of Hell.
God didn’t make the Homer,
He never made us queer,
He gave to us a bucket of stones
To get them out of here.
If I recall, the final verses are
God gave the world to understand
That the America is right
God tells us to pass it on
But all them sinners fight.
God gave them things like freedom fries
Big Macs, and the SUV
But foreigners say that God is wrong
How ungrateful can you be?
