Re: Why is Joel Osteen always under fire
He wastes money on ungodly adornment and exalting himself.. Building large concert halls for himself and his 'sermons' as if he was that ungodly band-
'The rolling rocks', or other such wicked artists that promote satanism.
He is but a FALSE Christian - A pastor feelgood who keeps talking but not about that which truly matters!
He doesn't talk about God, he doesn't talk about hell, he doesn't talk about the need to repent of sins and accept Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour:
He talks of how to "improve yourself" and how to "feel good about yourself", secular devil-inspired nonsense!
Also, his sister is a minister in his "church" too, which is forbidden in the Bible! (1 Timothy 1:12)
This false teacher is going straight to hell!If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: But if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.
A foolish woman is clamorous: She is simple, and knoweth nothing.
Proverbs 9:12-13

His church is kind of cheep and small, don't you think? I would think Pastor Deacon Fred and Pastor Pistol would be ashamed preaching for Jesus in such a dump.Originally posted by Seeker View Post

Agreed. Landover Baptist Church wasn't built for no reason. It, like our Godly President Bush, is appointed to serve a purpose on Earth that no one else can fulfill. And might I add that both are doing an excellent job. Praise!

The reporter said it best, in your seven princables to a better you, there are no mention of god or Jesus. The reporter said it all. Just more new age-fluffy bunny Christianity.

Re: Why is Joel Osteen always under fire
Joel Osteen and his ilk are the direct result of something called the "Human Potential Movement" right out of the 1970's. If you listen to these people you would conclude that Saddam Hussein's only problem was that he did not have enough "Self Esteem" while he was growing up. This group of sickularists have been turning this nation into a band of homers with their promotion of feel-good Christianity and multiculturalism. Jesus does not care what you think of yourself, or that you came from some heathen Indian tribe that likes to pound drums all day. He only cares that you follow His Word in the Bible (KJV1611).

All this self-esteem nonsense is just rewarmed Anton LaVey Satanism. Belief in one's own inherit self-worth is diametrically opposed to the Good News of the Gospel -- that we are wretched, that nothing we do can ever be good enough, and our slightest transgressions deserve eternal torment.
Pastor Billy-ReubenUpon request I will cite scripture for all these facts in God's Holy Word.
✝ This is a Christian community and we worship GOD of the Holy bible, the only Living GOD. We worship Jesus Christ, Son of GOD and Savior. Anything else is absurd. ✝

You know there is a special place in hell for pastors/teachers that teach a false doctrine. I wonder if he has read that part yet.
If the Lord leads you to it, he will get you through it.

And what verse would that be?..Originally posted by Seeker View PostYou know there is a special place in hell for pastors/teachers that teach a false doctrine. I wonder if he has read that part yet.
What you're saying there is not found in the Bible and sounds dangerously like Dante (ie cathylick) nonsense.
There is but ONE place in hell: And that is the lake of fire that burns eternal.
But maybe satan will sodomize these homers more often and ferocious than the rest of the sinners down there..
If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: But if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.

No, it's not in there. There is but one hell, and but one place in hell - The lake of fire.Originally posted by Seeker View PostNo it is there I swear. Something about teachers/pastors being judged harder because of their postition that they are in. Help me out, theo.

Though, Jesus does say that some will receive worse punishment than others. (Matthew 10:14-15 & Matthew 11:20-24)
This indicates that there are additional punishments in hell, on top of burning forever in the lake of fire with worms that die not. (Mark 9:44)
This would include alot of nasty, horrible and painful things..
Now, we know that sinners will get sodomized by demons, as shown to several Pastors in visions, but that's probably not the worst punishment there is!
Now when that's out of the way - go make your husband a pie or something.
If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: But if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.

Maybe I read too many Rick Warren books.
No, I am still looking for this verse that I am thinking of!
It's my fault for not being in my prayer closet and spending too much time in the kitchen! That can be a sin ya know...
If the Lord leads you to it, he will get you through it.

If you want theological assistance, you may always call upon me. By any chance are you referring to the first book of Alma in the Book of Mormon?Originally posted by Seeker View PostNo it is there I swear.
