    For want of Biblical authority!

Interesting the obsession on these boards with the need for literal Biblical authority.

I wonder, where in the Bible does it tell you to judge someone whom you have never met as "unsaved trash"? Where does it tell you to turn those who do not know Christ away from His door (ie, "unsaved unwelcome").

Such an exclusionary and divisive approach is contrary to the everything I know about the nature of the Lord our God.

1 Corinthians 10:20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.

Ephesians 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

2 Thessalonians 3:6 Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

      II Corinthians 6:14-17
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

So tell me, son. If the Bible is not your final authority in all matters of faith and doctrine, where do you go for answers? God was thoughtful enough to leave an instruction manual for us so that we don't have to worry about figuring things out for ourselves. Are you so vain and prideful that you think you know better than your Creator?

You do not comprehend our True Christian Love™ because of the distance you place between yourself and the LORD. We take a tough stance with unsaved trash like yourself because we intend to snap you out of the delusional world that you live in and wake you up to the reality of the eternal hellfire that awaits you if you do not repent of your sins, be washed in the Blood of Jesus, and live the remainder of your life free of sin. If we didn't love you, we wouldn't say anything to you. We'd just rest on our laurels as unsaved trash like yourself smoke dope, fornicate, and conduct all matter of abomination in the eyes of the LORD. But because we love you, we rebuke you, so that you may one day join us in Heaven.

      Hebrews 12:5-7
And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

You call it exclusionary, but think of it this way: If we were to do as so many other false churches and only preach the palatable parts of God's Word, what good would we be doing for His Kingdom? Sure, we might attract more followers, but to what avail? What good are we doing if we turn our House of Worship into some country club and neglect our call to win souls for Jesus? All we would have to show for it is a stadium full of people heading straight for hell!

Rather, we preach True Doctrine™ so that His elect may find their way to Salvation™. We want you to be washed in the Blood of Jesus and join us in Heaven, but if you are so prideful that you reject the Word of God, then you are on the wide path which leads to eternity in the lake of fire.

      Matthew 7:13-15
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

When you are ready to abandon your false, cherry-picking church, we will be here to help guide you in the ways of True Christianity™.
      II Thessalonians 1:7-9
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power

The man who is being progressively sanctified will inescapably sanctify his home, school, politics, economics, science, and all things else by understanding and interpreting all things in terms of the Word of God and by bringing all things under the Dominion of Christ the King. -R.J. Au contraire, my friend. God did not leave an instruction manual. The Bible is a collection of writings by men - some parts of it are better than others. Am I guilty of cherry-picking? Sure, but then I think God wants us to cherry-picks. He wants us to use that thing he gave us called a brain. He wants us to draw on the thousands of years of reasoning and enlightenment that He has gifted us with. I suggest you have a look at this book by John Shelby Spong, which explains why you cannot adopt a literal approach to interpreting scripture. It's the best $10 you will ever spend!

Is John Shelby Spong greater than Moses, David, all the prophets, Jesus, Paul, John and Peter?

            2nd Timothy 3:16
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

I am right; you are wrong. Where in the Bible does it say that God wants us to cherry-pick which verses? In my last read-through, I came across several verses to the contrary. I will share a few of them here for your benefit.

            Deuteronomy 4:2
Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

            Matthew 4:4
Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

            Revelation 22:18
For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Also, where in the Bible does it say that God wants us to "
draw on the thousands of years of reasoning and enlightenment that He has gifted us with"? If you would trouble yourself to read the Holy Word of the LORD you profess to believe in, you would know that He says no such thing. If you actually knew a damn thing about that which you profess to believe, you would realize that you are displaying all the symptoms of someone who is being led astray by a false Christ of their own delusional imagining!

            Mark 13:21-22
And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:
For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

You and false believers like yourself are no better than the atheo-fascists! I'll even go one further and say that you are worse than the atheo-fascists because you fill peoples' heads with lies and deceptions. If not for false Christians and false churches who teach false doctrine, many of these who have been deceived would otherwise continue their search for True Doctrine™ and eventually find a church like ours where it is preached!

Atheo-fascists don't care about anything aside from where they're going to score their next hit of dope or who they are going to fornicate with next. They are on the wide path to hell, but they hardly affect anyone else's Salvation™. You and wicked men like yourself are doing the work of satan, in that you are leading people away from True Christianity™ and making them think that they are Saved® when they are anything but! The lowest and hottest pit in hell is reserved for false deceivers like you!

Thanks for the tip on the book. I will add it to the list for our fall bonfire.
            II Thessalonians 1:7-9
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

Re: For want of Biblical authority!

Yet another thread started by this guy because he doesn't like the answers he received.

Look Christ-mocker, the Bible is the word of God. How can you claim to be a Christian if you don't follow the word that God gave us? I told you before I can call myself a brain surgeon. Just because I call myself that are you going to let me open your skull up? I mean all those books are just written by man so they don't mean anything, I can just go by my gut feelings right? I know I'm right, so why do I need a book to tell me I'm wrong.

Please quit asking the same question 50 different ways, in new posts, it's just getting annoying.

I suggest you not try to learn Christianity from someone like Spong, a God-mocking apostate who simply enjoys playing church. Just consider what his way of reading Scripture did to his faith.
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.
