    Jesus' Favorite Colour

I need some Godly LB Pastor to tell me what Jesus's favorite colour is. I plan on buying him some sandals this Fall while I'm in Kabul. Oil resistant, I know, but what colour?

    Praise the Holy Ghost!

It is quite clear what colors Christ likes best red, white and blue.

Time to reclaim our FREEDOM from the “Mullah in Chief” and his growing activist voter hoards of socialists, communists, anti-Semites, anti-Christians, atheists, radical gays and lesbians, feminists, illegal immigrants, Muslims, anti-Anglo whites and others.

        It's spelled color.

        ---

Red & white & blue, yes, Godly colors, all three.

I wonder though, He might prefer goes-with-everything
        sandalwood?

Are you trying to be funny Ahkmed? A quick internet search for Afghani sandals turned this up...

            Re: Jesus' Favorite Colour

The proper question here isn't about colors. Only queers worry and fret about what color they should wear. Real Men (like Jesus) just reach in the closet and wear the first thing he grabs.

I wonder what shoes our Savior might wear in today's world. These days sandals are for losers who live in cardboard boxes on the street. I'm sure that God's only begotten son is a snappy dresser. I'm sick and tired of all this nonsense about Christ being some filthy lazy hippie!

I like to imagine that Jesus would wear fine, hand-crafted, high-quality shoes like these*. I know that they're MY favorites!

*available at "Lance & Troy's Bibles and Shoes" in downtown Freehold, $349.99.

What a great idea, Pastor Ezekiel! Are these available in oil resistant lizard skin? As we all know, Jesus' feet are pretty well soaked in anointing oils. No use getting something that will fall off His feet after a few miles of struggling with that huge cross.

                  Well, here's a suggestion.
How about you putting your short arms into those deep pockets of yours and making a Loving donation towards buying Baby Jesus a decent pair of shoes for HIS Birthday?
I'm sure you can summon up a few shiny Shekels.

                  Just a suggestion you understand?

Actually, color is the old spelling for colour. This change is often attributed to Webster's 1828 edition of American Dictionary of the English Language. In this edition, he argued for the change of:
                    a) -or rather than -our - eg: colour/color, and behaviour/behavior
                    b) -er rather than -re - eg: centre/center, theatre/theater, and metre/meter (which in UK English have two different meanings)
                    c) -se rather than -ce - eg: defence/defense

Color was the spelling in the UK up until roughly 1812, by which time colour was already widely used.

I think Jesus also appreciates the rich green of the ink on the US Dollar and the deep, maroonish red produced by the lash that creates so many of those dollars.

                        GLORY!!

Have you ever heard of something called an economy? Would it be possible to beat some sense into your empty little head?
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.
