    I am disappoint

what i see on this website is not healthy, i read several of the threads in on this sight and i pray that how you talk on this website is not how you present God to unbelievers in real life encounters. what i see is pride in most of the posters and you have let your faith turn into legalism, i have seen several claims made on this site that are not biblical and yet supported.
I am very blessed to have grown up in a Christian home with strong parents and I am devoting my life to ministry and studying bible. i try to witness to atheists alot and they have made claims about the lives of Christians they have seen/grown up around and i had a hard time believing what they said but reading this form i see that what they said just might be justified (10 reasons God hates soccer?!?) if i didnt believe in God and saw some of what is said on this sight it would do nothing but push me further away for the idea of God,
How do you expect to tell someone about the love of Jesus when you are talking about how how God hates this this and this?! 'ozzy ozbourn is going to burn in hell' 'people who listen to rock music are going to hell' you say it in a deserved way as if YOU dont deserve to burn in hell, i do deserve to burn but thanks to jesus paying for my brokeness im not going to.
when you speak in this manner people dont see the light of jesus they see the contradiction in youre lives and wont want a part of it, i have seen it happen first hand to friends in my life and it is heartbreaking.
you are allowed to have opinions but please be careful about how you act around unsaved people.
jesus came to save the sinners, he lived and ate with the sinners, he didnt sit on a high horse and talk to the holy people about all the sinful things the sinners were doing. i think you should act like jesus did.

    Re: I am disappointed

First of all, this is NOT a debate forum. Please read THIS thread before making an even bigger fool of yourself.

Secondly, while the internets might seem to be "free" to you, this particular corner of the internets is a privately owned Christian forum. The rights you have on this forum are listed HERE. Please contact a Pastor immediately if you feel that any of your rights have been violated.

Finally, your unsaved opinions or tantrums are not even slightly of interest to us. We follow the Holy Word of God TO THE LETTER, and make no apologies for that. One of the most important commandments in the Bible tells us to avoid unsaved scum such as yourself. You wandered in here uninvited, and unwelcome .

Please make a thread of your own in the "Introductions" section of the forum, so that we can properly greet you. Tell us about yourself, your church, and how you came to find Jesus.

And if you're here to flame us, better take a look at THIS before making an even bigger ass out of yourself.

I will pray that the Holy Spirit enter you and chase the demons out of your rectum and let Jesus fill you with His Grace. If you use your God-given free will to reject Christ and His temporary death on the cross for my sins, then you are sending yourself to hellfire.
    Who Will Jesus Damn?

Let's start there. What is it we believe that is not biblical?
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

God told us to preach the Bible as it is, not the Joel Osteen version that you seem to preach. You're going to mollycoddle the sinners straight to Hell.

In Matthew 12:34, Jesus asked, O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? Is that the way YOU talk to sinners? If not, why not? Don't you want to be like Jesus?

                Dear Lurch:

You are rather frightening-looking, so I can see why you would soften the Lord's message, so as not to scare off potential converts. But we here at Landover are not what we call "fluffy-bunny" Christians. We don't wrap up brass knuckles in a nice gift box. We don't lie and mislead the unsaved like you do.

Yes, Jesus sat down with sinners, but you fail to mention what he said to them: YOU WILL BURN IN AGONY IN A LAKE OF FIRE FOR ALL ETERNITY UNLESS YOU WORSHIP ME. Jesus then temporarily died to save them.

His message was that it doesn't matter if you are NICE, or GENEROUS, or GENTLE, or LOVING. You can be all of those things and still BURN IN HELL unless you give it up for the Lord.

You won't find this message preached in most churches, because in order to save their collection plates from further depletion, they will say absolutely anything to anyone to appease them. That's why you see homersexuals coddled to and women bishops and bingo nights, etc.

If you think it's so mean to preach the WORD then YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM.

I hope that is clear enough for you.

I think the poster makes an excellent point. If you want to bring the 'Good News' to people, you should cease name-calling and judging people and start treating them with a bit of compassion and respect.

Fortunately the vast majority of Christian churches welcome sinners with open arms, just as Jesus did (Mark 2:13-17).
Immaculate Virgin, Mother of Jesus and our Mother, we believe in your triumphant assumption into heaven where the angels and saints acclaim you as Queen. BTW, the Queen of Heaven is totally a Christian idea that's supported by the Bible and not just something we stole off the pagans, honest guv'nor. We join them in praising you and bless, oh Goddess, who is above all creatures. Including Jesus. Us Mary-worshippers are pretty blasphemous, in case anyone hadn't noticed. With them we offer you alone our devotion and love.

WRONG! What's the easiest way to get someone to do something? You make fun of them.

In high school we had this super fat chick that was gross and fat and ugly. We made fun of her constantly all day every day about being fat until she developed an eating disorder. She lost 80 pounds in three months and then died a few months later. So she was skinny and we didn't have to look at her ugly face anymore. Everyone won.

What good will that do, when its obvious that your'e fluffy-bunny liberal who really do not care about what's written in the Holy Book? If you really are studying the bible (King James version). You should know that its every word of God that counts, and not just the ones you feel are appropriate to your heathen lifestyle.

You're right. Jesus would never be rude to someone seeking help, and He certainly wouldn't call that person a dog, now would He?

Do you agree with that? Can I get an amen?

                          Maybe not:

Matt. 15:21-28: Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon. And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, [thou] Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us. But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast [it] to dogs. And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table. Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great [is] thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.

So she was skinny and we didn't have to look at her ugly face anymore. Everyone won.
You are some kinda guy! Everyone won? Well yes she did lost weight but whatever her eating disorder? Did you help her get cured for that?

If you really are studying the bible (King James version). You should know that its every word of God that counts, and not just the ones you feel are appropriate to your heathen lifestyle.
When you only mock on other peoples way of living Jesus words, how can they then accept your words?
