A couple of groups of leftist "religious" groups are having a conference to celebrate "ecumenism". It reminds me of the growth of communism where every belief and job is standardized. A country becomes one big smooth running machine.

My question is, why should we Godly people of Landover Baptist Church treat any other religions with respect? It seems to me we would be risking our own salvation.

Unity applies only to the saved:

John 17:11: And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we [are].

We are most certainly not supposed to be in unity with false Christians or any other unsaved trash:

2 Corinthians 6:14-18: Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in [them]; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Diversity, of course, is just a politically correct code word for fag-enabling.

Interfaith is utter nonsense. There is only one God and everyone KNOWS that God is the God described in th KJV1611. Heck, even the Atheists admit that. This is just more liberal nonsense like raizing taxes and not lowering them will balance a budget.

Look, lets make this simple; can The Catholics, Presbyterians, Methodists, Mormons and Anglicans PROVE we Baptists are wrong about the nature of God? No! Therefore we are RIGHT! End of discussion.

No, you're not. You don't follow the Magisterium of the Catholic Church. God has entrusted to the Catholic Church alone the task of giving an authentic interpretation of Scripture. I don't see how you can doubt it, since Catholic teaching has consistently said so, as reflected in the Catechism.

Some document written by your group doesn't count. If self-written documents are proof then the world would be round, millions of years old and electric would just be tinny particles and not angels.

You must be pulling our leg, here, Father. The Bible was written by God. So far as I know, He wrote it to his loyal Baptist believers, not to some set of whiskey drinking, hard living Catholic preists.

But when Christians try to interpret the Bible for themselves, they end up with some 30,000 denominations, not all of which can be right. That's why you need True True Christianity, a/k/a Catholicism.

Papist, you've just put 2 and 2 together and gotten -13. That's not why you need the Roman institution to rewrite Scripture; that's why you need to stop interpreting the Bible and start simply reading it.

Yes Rast; just because everyone else is wrong doesn't mean we TRUE Christians(tm) are wrong too. We follow The Bible, KJV1611, to the letter so we KNOW we are right. It's very simple, as to be expected from a book written by God, you just follow the instructions. No church councils needed.
