any ideas?

All right, as I may, or may or may not told you, I am writing a fantasy book. Now, the LAST thing I want is for this book to be deemed satanic by the public, so if you want something added or gone, here's your chance to do something about it.

Details so far:

• Lord of the Rings-like. Main character and group of heroes go on quest across huge landscape.
• Christianity is THE DOMINANT RELIGION. Though you'd want to know that. There will be other religions, but not as prevalent, and the majority of main charactors ARE CHRISTIAN.
• There is magic, but ONLY THE BAD GUYS USE IT. Magic is not a-okay in this fantasy book. It gets a pretty bad rep here.
• Very epic medieval battles. This book takes place in a world with technology from the medieval era, so of course epic battles will be included.
• Like most fantasy, there will be multiple races. As in elves, dwarves, and other stuff oh my!
• Lots of fantasy creatures. It doesn't end at dragons, you know. I have a wide array of creatures that help or hinder the main character throughout his quest. I'm working on a group of werewolf-like creatures right now, it'll be awesome!

Note that this is still in the rough draft phase, and is still open to change. I exxpect it to be done at the end of next year (I'm a slow writer).

Look son, I don't even like reading the word "fantasy" as it is an unclean word. Get rid of everything but Christian and you have a start.

What kind of response did you think you were going to get? That we'd endorse your book of homosexual dragons?

As entertaining as the Bible is, if its the only book in a hundred mile radius, people tend to be illiterate. Besides, if someone has a talent for writing, the talent should be used, not ignored. Besides, I'm giving you a chance to make it less "satanic".

Remove the elves (demonic creatures) and dwarves (cursed by God).

Remove the "fantasy creatures", whatever the heck they are, unless they are only used by evil. Want to make it Christian? Try some of the fantastic creatures described in the Bible -- unicorns, talking asses, cockatrices, and of course angels (they have four faces, only one of which is of a man . . . they're not what popular culture calls "angels", which are just humans with wings). Also, look up "cherubim". They're not babies with wings, but fearsome monsters of God.

What's the quest?

Are they "christian", or do they follow the whole Bible?

If someone has a talent for anal sex, does that mean they should rape little boys? That is basically what you are saying.

Making it "less Satanic" will not suffice. There are plenty of abominations that are "less Satanic" than Jimmy Carter. I would even venture to say Obama is less Satanic than Jimmy Carter, and Obama is the Antichrist!

Your idea is hopeless. You are even more damned for thinking of it.

I like your idea for the book, seems like it will be very interesting. Oh and I do enjoy fantasy and Sifi books. My favorite author is H.P Lovecraft.

As for the questions above. I'm afraid I don't have many details at the moment. I just know it involves raising an army to overthrow an evil tyrant. The main character has to move around the world gaining support. And before you ask, THIS IS NOT ABOUT OVERTHROWING AMERICA. I know someone would eventually ask that tp take a cheap shot at my book, so there you go.

if there gonna be epick battles, then maybee only the good guys be alloweds to have iron stuff, cuz if you wroted your book so that the bad guys have iron stuff then lord God not gonna be ables to kicks thier butts

The only one who ever came up with worthwhile stories was Jesus when He preached in parables. Everything else is surely of the Devil, no matter how fancy you dress it up or how hard you try to defend it.

Other than the Bible, I only read non-fiction... selected biographies, historical accounts, and that sort of thing. I refuse to waste time reading useless things like fiction!
