Let me start with a question for you: You say that you have accepted Jesus as your savior. Do you accept the Bible as the Word of God? We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, and that every single word is true. If you do not believe in the whole Bible, then it is no wonder that you don't agree with some of the tenets of our faith, but then I'd ask you, how do you know which parts of the Bible are true and which are false?

We are not self-righteous. Our righteousness stems from God. If we say anything that is not firmly rooted in the Word of God, please let us know, and I'm sure that our good Pastors and Deacons will take the necessary corrective action.

As for excluding the unsaved, perhaps you misunderstand. Membership in Landover Baptist Church, and admission to the Landover campus in Freehold, Iowa, are restricted to those who have accepted salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. The unsaved are welcome in our discussion forums, provided that they conduct themselves responsibly (we don't go into other people's churches and shout obscenities and post notices on their bulletin boards berating their religious beliefs, so we rather expect the same courtesy to apply in here).

Nevertheless, we are bound by the Bible to stay away from sinners. As the apostle Paul said:

Yes, we do have assigned seats, except in the negro sections of the church. Christianity is certainly compatible with democracy (and we're darned proud to be Americans), but Christianity itself is not a democracy--it has a very strict heirarchy, and we all have our proper places in God's plan.

We label people as sinners until they prove otherwise, in part to make sure that nobody misinterprets posts by persons who are not Christians as the real Word of God. See Matthew 12:30, where Jesus said, He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad. Matthew 12:1. I went from "Unsaved Trash" to "Member" to "True Christian™" in about four weeks, so it all depends on your level of committment to God.

We do judge those who are not saved. Here's the whole passage that you're referring to:

Jesus was very clearly saying that we are not to judge our fellow Christians (to thy brother...), not that we are not to judge sinners. In fact, our faith demands that we do judge sinners: For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person. 1 Corinthians 5:12-13

Where in the Bible do you see anything that says that only God can judge?

We haven't had a stoning at Landover in many, many years. Neverthelss, we would without governmental interference that keeps us from following God's commandments. For example, here's what Jesus had to say about stoning disobedient children:
