God Hates...

We always talk about how God hates this and that...

But in His Almighty Power He has yet to smite these things, which brought me to the realization that God does not hate. How can we attempt to interpret His omnipotence?

How do you say He doesn't smite friend? What happened so New Orleans? Thailand? Southern California? All these sin filled placed has felt the Wrath of God. God does hate sin friend, have no doubts.

We don't need to "interpret", young fellow.

He gave us a Book which tells us everything we need to know. It's called the KJV1611 for short . . . the Bible, that is.

Have you read it? Through this wondrous Book, you can meet my friend Jesus. He unconditionally loves everyone who believes in Him and follows all of His Law, and will ensure you receive eternal life in Heaven where you may spend forever serving and praising Him!

Doesn't that sound glorious? Imagine, not years, not centuries, but FOREVER serving our Lord in Heaven!!

So stop worry about all this smiting and hating, and make with the loving and praising! I KNOW you want Jesus to love you as much as we do, don't you?

God controls nature. Nothing happens in this world without His perfect knowledge and without His permission. How else could there be free will if this was not so? No, He clearly signed off on those tidal waves, hurricanes and firestorms.

Do not make the mistake of limiting The Lord friend.

I disagree with what you say but I would fit to the death for your right to say it.

I believe God created nature, but I believe that weather patterns etc. are determined by some sort of natural (dare I say scientific?) law. I am not stating this as fact but where in the Bible does it say what's what on this matter?

Natural law isn't man made, it's man-defined. Men don't make my apple fall to the floor gravity does. God created space. Space is built out of the fabric of time as well is matter. As large matter (planets etc.) sit on the fabric of time they dent it, this causes a rift which draws objects closer to it. That's gravity, the way God made it.

As far as your questioning of God's ability to weave this amazing universe into what it is, is concerned, it is none of my business to infringe upon your first amendment rights.

In 4th grade a did a book report based on Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, my understanding may have changed but my commitment hasn't. We cannot deny a body rots and an apple falls just as much as others cannot deny a soul lives forever.
