I was not the one to bring up the cucumber argument. I was not replying to you in that post which can been seen from the fact I quoted Bobby-Joe.

God's oaths were written down by man. That man is not alive today, thus we cannot confirm that he actually spoke to God. That was my point.

God is all powerful, all knowing and is active in the world. It logically follows that God has seen to it His message to the World has been accurately conveyed thew the ages and correctly translated. So say otherwise is to deny the existence of God.

I don't agree with the use of this analogy for a couple reasons.

For example I could write a book and purposely put incorrect information in it. I then go ahead and call it a testament. Suppose something happens to me and I die and am unable to say what is fact and what is fiction in that book to anyone else. Just because the title of the book contains testament does not mean everything in it is true.

There is a difference between the Old/New Testament and the Last Will and Testament of a deceased person. The Last Will and Testament of a deceased person has a witness. Someone who can stand before a court of law and say this is what the deceased person wrote down.

Unfortunately there is no one alive from the time period the Bible was written. From my explanation it should be easy to see that I clearly disagree with your position that this is definitive evidence for God's existence. For the reasons stated above.

You can twist my words all you want but you are wrong. Both testaments have numerous verses where people are witnesses and attest that they are true. Even God makes oaths - how much more proof do you need other than that!

If you would like more time to research your theory that you can find proof that God does not exist I have recommended a book for you further up the thread.

Where is our proof that God exists I here you say, well here it is:

The definition of a testament is a document that the author has sworn to be true.

The Old Testament (for example) contains numerous witness encounters with God (Moses for example, see below - there are many others) which by definition (above) the author has sworn to be true.

This is the same level of proof allowed from a deceased person in a court of law.

Exodus 3:4
And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.

This is definitive proof that God exists, I await your response. According to the rules of philosophy the onus is now on you to rebut my assertion.
Don't forget that book now - available on Amazon, while you're on there get one on English rules of grammar and spelling.
