    I like your christ.

I do honestly. the message of peace is definitely the way to go. but... it would seem you fundamentalists have ignored this concept in favor of a more strict rule under your KJV. But while i understand why you do this. i beg the question of you: where is your sense of humanity? sure, all people have the chance to accept Jesus as their personal savior as i have, but i realise something now as i have witnessed the deaths of close friends at their own hands, they are the ones who made the ultimate sacrifice, God's "gift" as they perceived it tortured them. but you say your jesus' martyrdom was better, his suicide by cop (yeah that's pretty much what it was, the bible says so) he may have instigated his suicide, but is doing so with the knowledge of return truly a sacrifice? are the suicidals, that kill themselves in judgements eye worse off? such is the way you put them, yes. religion will not work if you are always yelling at people to obey or suffer. or obey harder and/or suffer. your anality is above moral construct in society. and i urge you to calm down. be as pious as you like, encourage others to be happy, to enjoy life, but most of all encourage them to be good people. Enjoy your crackers, i know i did. but the near drowning was a bit much.

You too? I thought it was just me. I read it about 5 times and then I was going to talk a long walk and try again.

I looked into nihilism once, but didn't come up with anything.

            Dear friend:

Who do you think gave us the KJV? We follow all of God's Word, not just the warm and fuzzy parts. If you have a problem with that, you have a problem with Almighty God and His Word, not with us.

but you say your jesus' martyrdom was better, his suicide by cop (yeah that's pretty much what it was, the bible says so) he may have instigated his suicide, but is doing so with the knowledge of return truly a sacrifice?
It was in God's eyes, and that's what counts:

Hebr. 9:26: For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

Anyway, you're right. God temporarily sacrificed Himself to Himself to give Himself permission to avert His own wrath. Why can't you take that more seriously?
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.

Amen, preach it brother Peters, I too am at a loss as to why people cannot grasp this simple yet loving concept. If they would but lovingly open their hearts to receive this simple truth....

"sacrificed Himself to Himself to give Himself permission to avert His own wrath"

I just had to see it again, beautifully written sir. , brings tears to my eyes!

I'm lost on this "nihilism" thing - friend, if you came up empty then you succeeded with nihilism, that is just the point of nihilism, it is nothing, empty, meaningless not to mention sinful. And what the heck is up with the crackers....

Also, all you did NihilPerson is lift a quote from Mahatma Gandhi about liking our Christ, Gandhi mind you was one of them HinduRagHead'ists who is also suffering an everlasting torment in hellfire now, express route, no scenery, nothing.

And even if a certain alleged Pastor did have any alleged anality, which he most certainly does not, it wouldn't be "above moral construct in society", it would be an abomination against God's Law. I suggest you should try and get some sleep, and see if you can make any more sense when you're refreshed. Unless you were already asleep when you wrote that, which would explain a lot.
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

i am an intelligent person to question the motives and meanings behind words. for they are never what they are plainly meant to be. he can judge me if he likes, and i will accept that judgement based on passive-aggression. surely i have made him seem less than welcome in my heart and if he would like to tell me off, so be it. your quote from Luke's friends does little to sway me (btw, the gospels were not written by the apostles themselves, they were penned by friends of the apostles after their deaths) if he comes to give division rather than peace on earth then why should i listen to him, peace comes from together ness. the sentence on crackers refers to the transubstantiation of christ in cracker form. demons do not exist literally, only in the proverbial sense of placing blame from mental illness, which is still bad. i do not partake in the recreational use of drugs. and I am in fact a male. glad to see you got the jist of the partial drowning thing though.

ok look up the word anal in a dictionary... i have used the term anality not to refer to a lack of heterosexuality, but to obsessive-compulsion. it's a correct way to use the word. not the only way to refer to the rectum. sorry if you didn't understand. I am not accusing anyone of deviation from heterosexuality. also note this is not an apology.

I'm glad you read it five times, tried to take a walk and try again. I hope you absorb the message of this. funny thing on not coming up with anything for nihilism though. did you think of that all by yourself? but before you try to attack personal belief, I want to understand that the word has two parts NIHIL and REALISM! it justifies discernment of reality from the parts that do not truly exist, and the parts that matter. If we are to make the world a better place we must focus on things that actually exist and affect our lives today. i'm not saying this isn't true of God, i'm saying that it should be used that way. we were put here to make the world a better place after being thrust out of eden. we can work to release ourselves from original sin and we can do that by being kind to people. but here i've seen but racism, sexism, elitism, homophobia and anti-thought propaganda.

The Bible is the only way to learn about Christ, friend. If you don't trust what the Bible tells you about Christ, then you might as well just admit that you don't know anything Him. You don't know enough about Him to know whether you like Him or not. If you don't trust the Bible, then you are just making up your own false religion as you go.

Yes i agree i lifted that quote from Mahatma Gandhi without proper citation, I'm very sorry, my bad. but you forget, he was a great non violent person and deserves a better treatment. and besides, I read dante's inferno. he's going in the first circle of the vestibule. which is really (i don't want to say best) the easiest layer of hell (still not happy with the eleventh word in that sentence). but still, there is plenty of scenery as Mr. Alighieri has described (that is Dante's last name btw). good catch on the quote, my hat goes off to you.

don't be a racist, all of humanity can be saved by christ, but if we keep on calling everyone names then why would they want to be? it's unkind. and i would really like it if everyone removed words like that from their vocabulary. that includes jap chink spic nigger heeb joo (at least spell it right) crick (for christians, i think that may be relatively new) froggies etc. try to say these hurtful words less, and the kindness contained within that action will make you a better christian.

That would explain why it wasn't understood here.

In all your education, were you never taught the difference between a Baptist (follows the Bible word for word, worships the Trinity (God/Jesus/Holy Spirit), and nothing else) and a Catholic (picks and chooses little bits of the Bible and mixes it with bizarre Pagan traditions such as celibacy and cannibalism -- your crackers -- and prays to Mary, the dead woman who bore God when He impregnated her with Himself so He could be born, along with a bunch of man-made "saints" and idols?

We are not Catholics, and we do not worship crackers.
