When I had first stumbled upon this site, I had read through some of your sermons, chuckling to myself, thinking... hoping, that this website was satire. Unfortunately, upon further investigation, I had found that you people were actually being serious. And it concerns me greatly. Never have I seen a greater collection of anti intellectualism in my life. This is... on par with the westboro baptist church, honestly. You act like science and scientific achievements are the bane of existence, but of course you all enjoy the commodities it has provided you, which is infinitely more than prayer has gotten you (which by the way, numerous studies have been done about the effect of prayer--it does nothing http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/new...cle1072638.ece ). Vegans are modern day witches? Seriously? I've never heard more ill-informed codswallop in my life. They're animal rights activists that happen to find something immoral about killing or exploiting another living being, go figure. Something you all seem to have a hard time grasping. If ANYTHING, I would have to say that Wiccans are modern day witches, since they are, uh... witches.
I already know that you've all been so indoctrinated in your belief system, that whatever I say is going to immediately be dismissed as I don't know.. an attempt by Satan to confuse you and lead you away from the path of God. Since apparently common sense and critical thinking are sins that I'd forgotten about. Since all of you seem to think that the Bible in itself is inerrant, and the 'true word of God', I ask you, how can that be when it contradicts itself an exceedingly large number of times?
PSA 145:9 The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.

GEN 2:18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
GEN 2:19 And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.

ISA 14:21 Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities.
DEU 24:16 The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.
aand the list goes on and on. If you would like to see a large collection of them you can go here, or here, I personally like the second link. But you can always google it yourselves.
If you really want to know when the second coming of Jesus is, and when Armageddon is supposed to happen, you have to look no further than the almighty Bible!
"MAT 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
MAR 13:30 Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.
LUK 21:32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled."
I don't know what excuses you'll come up with to try and defend your precious bronze age book, but I'm tired of finding non-christians that have a greater understanding of the Bible than the lot of you. I guess it was kind of a good idea in concept, but I'm sorry, the Bible is flawed. The original copies, as far as I know, don't exist anymore. And even the most accurate copies are going to be in ancient Hebrew and Greek. It is not realistic to act like the Bible is the know-all, that ends all about all things. There is enough room in this world for people of different faiths, belief systems, and science, without you having to be condescending about a flawed organization of thought.
Do you people honestly have the gall to tell someone who has dedicated decades of their life to research and study about a subject that since you have faith in Jesus and the book of God, that you know more than they do? (in reference to one of the sermon's on this website). I challenge you to explain to me in detail the difference between animal and plant cells, how to observe atoms, how to construct a computer and explain how its processor calculates things, and honestly tell me that you got those answers from faith and the Bible? I don't think so.
Stop being lazy and being content with saying 'things are the way they are because God says so'... There is something greatly wrong with willful ignorance. Did you know that the 'big bang theory' and 'evolution' doesn't necessarily disagree with the idea of creationism? Just because you don't understand these concepts, does not give you the right to automatically dismiss them, and then say with confidence that you know better because you have God on your side. That's asinine, and ludicrous. Pick up a book and learn about something other than Jesus.
You all act like atheists, and scientists are all out to get you, taking every opportunity they can to debunk your religion we can get, leading every person we can to Satan, but you couldn't be farther from the truth. Honestly, we couldn't give a shit less what you believe. We just empirically try expand our understanding of the natural world, and the conclusions that we have come to do not exist for the sole purpose of destroying your belief system. Go ahead and believe in God, and Jesus, or santa, or the flying spaghetti monster, or whatever, we don't care.
It's when you shamelessly try to force those belief systems onto other people that we have a problem. Realistically, people should be able to do whatever they please as long as it doesn't infringe on another being's rights (theft-->right to property, murder-->right to life, oppression-->freedom of will/thought). Take note that there is more to that, so I ask you not to try and argue with me on this point, pedophilia is wrong because children aren't sexually mature enough to have sex, beastiality is wrong because animals can't communicate absolute consensualism, and incest is wrong because a resulting child would be genetically disfigured, etc.
I don't want your 'love', as no rational person should, I want your acceptance of me being another human that shares this planet with you; flawed just as all the rest of you are, But I still try to be the best person I can, and you have to understand that. Atheists, homosexuals, Buddhists, Vegetarians, you name it, as long as they behave in a fashion that doesn't infringe upon other peoples' rights as human beings, they are no more or less moral than an outstanding christian. It is NOT your job to promote your shamefully ignorant idealism, or save them from your own demons.
I'll end by giving you some food for thought. You all obviously believe in an eternal soul, and that our actions in our pitifully short lives will determine whether we are to spend an eternity in hell, or an eternity in heaven. I ask you, do you really want to spend an eternity anywhere? Unless God is going to grant you an extremely short memory of course. The idea of an eternal after life is extremely appealing to our greedy race, obsessed with its own mortality. But is that even realistic? The prospect of death at any given time is what gives life significance. How worried about dying would every one be if nobody could die? How satisfied with otherworldly pleasure are you going to be if there is no escape. Entertaining for several lifetimes I'm sure, but millions, even billions and trillions of years? And what about good people that came before Christianity? (since there certainly are some), are they also condemned to spend an eternity in hell?
If you actually read through all of this and took it to heart, I congratulate you. I want you to know, that I did not want to start an argument.
